Boots costing hundreds resemble the Grinch, hands and bloody feet

Toe curling! Shoppers mock boots from sustainable fashion brand AVAVAV in styles that look like slimy or bloody feet and giant fingers (and they cost up to £800)

  • The unique pairs of slimy-looking heels are made by sustainable brand AVAVAV
  • Thigh-high green boots cost hefty £802 and have been compared to the Grinch
  • Another are red with wonky toes made out of fabric resembling human flesh
  • Equally wacky ‘Finger Feet’ boots that look like hands are also on sale for £535

Thigh-high green boots costing £800 that make women look like the Grinch have been mocked online.

The slimy-looking heels – which look like green goo – are made by sustainable brand AVAVAV – which also sells a pair of boots called ‘Bloody Feet’.

Both are £802 per pair, plus there are equally wacky ‘Finger Feet’ boots that look like hands for £535.

The slimy pair are exactly the same – but this time a bright, lime green – think a freshly shaved and oiled-up Grinch leg.

The blood ones are shiny, thigh-high boots with four wonky toes made out of a shiny fabric that perfectly resembles human flesh.

Both designs featured a jagged opening at the top, so you can look like your leg has been chomped off by something with very large, sharp teeth.

The fingers boots, arguably more demure, are a simple black patent ankle boot – of course with the four fleshy finger-toes whacked on the end.

The bizarre clobber has inexplicably sold out on the website – although that could be due to the fact that just three of each pair was made.

The retailer, whose founders are also behind high street favourites Monki and Cheap Monday, describes itself as a ‘Florence-based clothing label driven by conscious production and design.’

The company makes all of its items from ‘luxury deadstock fabric, sourced and produced locally in small quantities.’

Deadstock is leftover fabric that would usually be sent to landfill.

AVAVAV’s website adds: ‘Our creative team strives to make hyper realistic pieces for the evolving landscape of fashion, while also offering you your most fly everyday wear.’

The barmy boots have garnered plenty of attention online, with one baffled social media user tweeting: ‘What in the Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride ??’

Another user commented: ‘I would love to hear how these sound when someone walks,’ to which another whitty tweeter replied: ‘Plap, plap, plap.’

Another baffled critic penned: ‘Who you think you are, Mike Wazowski?’
