Did Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Inspire Prince William to Show More PDA with Kate Middleton?

Over the past eight years of their marriage, Prince William and Kate Middleton rarely showed signs of affection in public. But that has seemingly changed in recent years as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been showing more PDA than ever before. The change has led some royal experts to theorize that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – who have always been the more affectionate couple – may have inspired the Cambridges to be more open about their love.

Prince William and Middleton show more PDA than ever before

William and Kate have always been very professional during royal engagements, but the two have been showing a bit more affection over the past two years.

During their recent trip to Shout’s Crisis Volunteers, forexample, Prince William took a move out of Prince Harry’s playbook and put hishand affectionately on Middleton’s back.

The move isn’t particularly romantic for most ordinarypeople, but it is a pretty big deal for members of the royal family. The royalsare usually very reserved in public settings and rarely show even the slightesthint of affection.

Prince Harry and Markle, of course, are an exception to thisrule. Ever since they started dating, the two have never been afraid of showinga little PDA. But did they really inspire Middleton and Prince William to showmore love?

Why are Prince William and Middleton showing more PDA?

According to Express, Judi James has looked at photos of William and Kate at recent engagements and believes they are showing a bit more PDA than usual. James, who is an expert in body language, is also convinced that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be behind the sudden change.

“There does seem to be a slow but steady increase in the PDA ratebetween Kate and William over the past year or so, with this affectionateback-stroke display being the most recent example,” James shared.

James added that Harry and Meghan’s displays of affectionhave been well received by the public, which could be why the Cambridges aresuddenly on board with the idea.

The body language expert also pointed out that Middletoncould be feeling inspired by her close relationship with Queen Elizabeth.

James argues that Queen Elizabeth’s body language around Middleton is a clear sign that the two are close and that Her Majesty greatly approves of the Duchess. That said, there is another viable explanation behind the couple’s newfound PDA.

Did Prince Louis bring Kate Middleton and Prince Williamcloser?

A pretty good explanation for the couple’s recent displaysof affection is the arrival of their third child, Prince Louis.

Middleton, who is a proud mother of Prince George and Princess Charlotte, had her third child in the spring of last year. James believes that Prince Louis’ birth could have brought Middleton and Prince William closer as they are very hands-on parents.

William could also be showing more affection because of thenegative rumors surrounding him and Prince Harry.

The Duke of Sussex recently confirmed that he has beenfeuding with Prince William in a documentary titled Harry and Meghan: An African Journey. The admission could havepushed William closer to Kate as he looks for support.
