Inside Love Island winners Paige Turley and Finn Tapp’s stunning new home as they exclusively reveal they’ve moved in together

They first laid eyes on each other in the Love Island villa six months ago, and now OK! magazine can exclusively reveal the exciting news that Paige Turley and Finley Tapp have officially moved in together.

The couple, who won the winter edition of the show in South Africa, have made a stunning three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment in Manchester their first home together.

When we catch up, the pair are nursing their hangovers following a deserved night celebrating their move with a bottle “or two” of Champagne. “We’re feeling the effects this morning!” laughs Paige, 22.

The stylish apartment boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, offering views of the city, and a walk-in wardrobe and dressing room in one of the bedrooms.

The couple spent lockdown at Paige’s family home in West Lothian, Scotland. But despite living with his in-laws for three months, Finn, 20, from Milton Keynes, says the time together only made them stronger. And chatting with them over the phone, it seems like this is certainly the case as talk soon turns to marriage and children, with Finn revealing they’ve even discussed how they’d like their lives to pan out.

Here, the loved-up couple exclusively open the doors to their new apartment and fill us in on Finn’s proposal plans…

Congratulations! How does it feel to have moved into your own place?

Finn: It’s strange to think that we’re finally in, but it’s so exciting.

Paige: It’s been a long time coming. We were looking at apartments before lockdown.

Finn: We were hoping lockdown would get pushed back by a week or two because we were supposed to move in on 30 March, but we went into lockdown on 23 March so the move was pushed back until June. But it’s been worth the wait!

Paige: With Love Island, it kind of feels like we’ve been in lockdown for the whole year!

Finn: Love Island definitely prepared us for this time.

Tell us about the flat…

Paige: It’s so lovely.

Finn: Paige hadn’t actually seen it before we moved in.

Paige: We viewed a couple of apartments in a different block to what we’re in but only Finn was able to see our actual apartment. I’d only seen a video so I had to put my trust in him.

Finn: It was a relief when Paige said she liked it. We’ve got a lovely view. We’ve made one of the spare bedrooms a walk-in wardrobe and dressing room.

Paige: That’s our favourite room.

Did you get emotional when you moved in?

Paige: I got quite teary. Finn came down in a van and I came down in the car. It was the first time I’d seen it and I got here first. I FaceTimed him and he got teary because I was teary.

Why did you pick Manchester?

Finn: It’s midway between both our family homes and Callum [Jones], Jamie [Clayton] and a few other Love Islanders sold us the dream of living here.

Paige: We’d both been on one night out here and we were like, “Let’s move there!”

Has it been nice to have privacy?

Paige: It’s been so nice.

Finn: It’s lovely to have our own space. We’ve been living with each other all year but in very different circumstances. Apart from the four weeks after Love Island and before lockdown when we were living in hotels, we’ve been living with other people the whole time we’ve been together. We’ve only spent about five days apart so far.

Paige: You’d have thought we’d be wanting to kill each other by now but we’ve still been glued to each other. We’re always together.

Finn: Even now we’re sitting on one armchair together. I go wandering around the apartment to find her.

Paige: Give him a couple of months and he’ll be complaining!

You spent lockdown with your family in Scotland, Paige. Were there any arguments?

Finn: No! Paige’s family are quite like mine. Even though I was 300 miles away from my family, I still felt part of Paige’s family. Lockdown is certainly one way to get close to the in-laws! It was actually really nice.

Paige: I think they preferred Finn to me! It was us, my mum, my step-dad and my dog, Kevin. We basically ate and drank our way through lockdown.

What did your families say when you said you were moving in together?

Paige: They were kind of expecting it. Both our mums cried. When I spoke to my mum the day after we moved in, she was just sobbing on FaceTime to me.

Finn: Then my mum was sobbing because she’s barely seen me this year! I was in Love Island, then I went to Scotland to stay with Paige for lockdown and now we’re in Manchester. I finally managed to see my parents the other weekend when they came to Manchester to see us, at a distance of course.

Usually when couples come out of Love Island they have a busy few months. Has this quality time together made you stronger?

Paige: Yes. This has brought us so much closer together. How we met was strange enough, so it’s been nice to just have time together. A lot of couples say their schedules get in the way and they never see each other. This has certainly been a bit of a blessing in disguise for us.

A few couples from your series have split. Do you think you would have split if you hadn’t isolated together?

Finn: I don’t think we would have split but we did say to each other how glad we were that I went up to Scotland to isolate with her.

Paige: It would have put a lot of stress on the relationship if not.

Finn: To become so close to someone in the villa and then have 12 weeks apart, you must lose some of what you had together.

What have you guys learnt about each other in lockdown?

Paige: Where do I start? In my mum’s house, Finn needed a bit of a nudge to pick up after himself! He would go for a shower and two hours later the wet towel would still be on the bed. He’s got better, though.

Did you argue?

Paige: We were living on top of each other because it wasn’t a big house, so it was stupid bickers about me taking too long in the shower. We got through it!

Do you feel like you can look forward to the future more now you’ve got your own place?

Finn: Definitely. It’s certainly the next chapter and now we’ll just keep going.

Paige: There’s lots of holidays we want to go on and we want to enjoy our time together and then in a couple of years hopefully he proposes.

Finn: I’m not going to wait – I want to propose soon! I don’t want to say a timescale as it’s going to be a surprise. I told my friend I had something to tell him and he said, “You’re not going to propose already are you? I wouldn’t be surprised.” So my friends know it and I’ve told my family it’s something I want to do. Now all I have to do is ask for Paige’s dad’s blessing! I’ve got a few ideas about how I’d propose.

You’ve said you want to be a dad before you’re 25, Finn. Is that still the plan?

Finn: Yeah, it’s something I want in the next few years. We’ve spoken about the order we’d like to do things. We’d like to get engaged, have a long engagement and in that time have a baby. I want a baby at my wedding and for them to be in the photos. We could put him in a suit.

Paige: What if it’s a girl? He’s determined our first will be a boy.

Finn: We were discussing names the other day and we like Finley Junior. I’m dropping hints at the moment about what I want for my 21st birthday [in November]. I want to go to Vegas.

You quit playing for Oxford City FC in March, Finn. Do you regret leaving football?

I don’t regret it. It’s a shame because I was loving it but it was a risk I had to take. With how everything has turned out, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Paige: You’ll go back into it though, won’t you?

Finn: Hopefully. I need to get back in shape.

You revealed you almost didn’t finish your Love Island application. Why was that?

Finn: They wanted me to send in a video introducing myself and I was on the train in rush hour and I thought there is no way I’m doing that. So I stopped applying for three weeks and then I randomly saw a post from an ex Islander on my explore page on Instagram and I just thought why not. I was just wearing boxers so I went upstairs and put a T-shirt on and applied in my boxers. It’s mad to think I went from that to where I am now with Paige. Every single thing that could have gone right did.

How do you feel that the winter series of Love Island isn’t going ahead this year?

Finn: It is a shame but they’ve obviously done it for a reason and for everyone’s safety.

Paige: Everyone’s safety comes first. We’ve been watching the Australian series with a takeaway. It feels strange to watch other people going through it. I think it will just mean that the UK series next summer will be massive!
