Lauren Goodger escaped for a romantic spa break at a 5* luxury hotel to enjoy some precious quality time with Charles Drury as they gear up to welcome their first child next month.

The couple stayed in The Cave hotel and spa in Canterbury, inviting fans to join them via their social media channels.

Writing to her 782,000 followers on Instagram, Lauren said: "Staying at one of the most amazing hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and that’s a first for the UK!! The food was unreal in your exclusive restaurant 'The Firepit' … perfect timing before our baby arrives next month !!

"Thanks so much for your hospitality. I can’t wait to come back, maybe for a round of golf, now back to the penthouse."

Her 23-year-old boyfriend Charles also shared some photos from their break, including one of Lauren, 34, alongside which he wrote: "Lauren making pregnancy a sexy thing."

The couple enjoyed a delicious dinner of tapas at the hotel’s Firepit restaurant that serves sharing plates inspired by dishes from around the world.

Lauren and Charles also made the most of the hotel’s spa facilities and posted snaps from the hydrotherapy pool.

Charles later commented on Lauren’s Instagram post that he’d had “The best time" watching her "swim freely with our little bump”.

The pair stayed in the hotel’s penthouse suite, which can transform into a private cinema at the touch of a button.

The luxury room features electric blinds and a projector screen so that Lauren and Charles could enjoy a romantic movie night as part of their stay.

Lauren’s followers were quick to comment on how happy she looked, with one writing: "You two are so suited – so glad you found each other. I’m so looking forward to seeing your beautiful baby – enjoy that beautiful hotel xxx"

The Cave hotel, which opened earlier this month, is fast building up its celeb clientele with Katie Price’s ex, Kris Boyson, also booking in for a stay this weekend.

The luxury hotel boasts that it’s "not just a night’s sleep, it’s an experience" and offers private function rooms for weddings, two golf courses and a driving range.
