Inside This Morning’s Clodagh’s stunning garden pub in the grounds of Downton Abbey

This Morning star Clodagh McKenna took viewers on a tour of her incredible homemade garden pub during Wednesday's show.

Clodagh, 46, took part in the show's 'Christmas tablescaping trends' segment, where she showed off her sustainable Christmas table ahead of 25 December.

The TV chef lives at her family's 300-year-old estate, Broadspear House, in the grounds of Highclere Park, best known as the location of Downtown Abbey.

She gave one of the derelict buildings on the estate a complete overhaul during the Coronavirus lockdown, and ultimately created her very own Irish pub.

Clodagh kicked off the video tour by showing off the festive makeover she'd recently given the pub, which she has christened The Cork Arms.

Standing beside a huge Christmas tree, she told viewers: "I've literally spent the last two to three weeks doing it up for Christmas, because all of our family and friends are coming. Fingers crossed!"

The TV star then began showing the cameras around her homemade pub, which features a full bar complete with draught beer.

Explaining the story behind the previously vacant building, Clodagh said: "I should explain that before we did this, this was a fallen down shepherds hut.

You couldn't even come into it because it had all collapsed. It took us three months to do it, me and a tree surgeon did it together."

The cabin has completely transformed into the ultimate cosy little pub, with a selection of ornaments and photographs littered throughout.

Clodagh then took viewers over to the bar area, which boasts a huge wooden counter complete with bar stools which are neatly tucked away.

The star, who is married to the Queen's godson Harry Herbert, explained how the gorgeous counter top had came from a tree nearby which had fallen down around two years ago.

Having seasoned the piece of wood, she, along with the help of a tree surgeon, created the bespoke bar top together.

Viewers were extremely impressed with Clodagh's homemade pub, taking to social media to brand it "gorgeous" and "beautifully done".

Clodagh then took to Instagram later on to share a series of snaps from inside the cabin, giving fans a closer look at the decor and Christmas decorations.

She gushed over viewers' response to the This Morning segment, writing: Thank you all so much for your lovely messages about my segment on @thismorning @itv today.

"It was so lovely to share with you all our secret cabin in the woods (not so secret anymore)."
