She has starred in numerous well-known titles, including Easy Virtue, King Charles III, and A Christimas Carol.

Like her husband, Charlotte has also starred in Peaky Blinders, having portrayed May Fitz Carleton in the second and fourth series of the Birmingham-based show.

The 40 year old's career kicked off in 2004 when she won won the Sunday Times' Playwriting Award for Shaking Cecilia, which she co-wrote with Tiffany Wood.

She went on to bag many TV roles, and began performing in theatre productions.

In 2009, Charlotte starred in ITV's two-part series, Wuthering Heights, a TV adaptation of the 1847 novel.

She was cast as Catherine Earnshaw, with Tom playing Heathcliff. It was during filming for the ITV series that the pair first met, and it wasn't long until romance blossomed.

Tom, who had recently split from girlfriend Rachel Spead at the time, and Charlotte began dating, before going on to tie the knot in July 2014.

The couple kept their wedding private, but it was reported that they exchanged vows in a lavish ceremony located in the south of France.

In October 2015, Charlotte and Tom welcomed their first child, a daughter, whose name they have never publicly revealed.

The pair's second child, a son who they named Forrest, was born in December 2018. He was named after Tom's character Forrest Bondurant, from the hit film Lawless.

Charlotte is also step-mum to Tom's 13-year-old son, Louis, who he shares with ex-girlfriend Rachael Speed.

Speaking to The Daily Mail shortly before marrying Tom, Charlotte said: "Louis is…the most incredible, intelligent, creative little human being I have ever met – he is amazing."

She also added: "I feel very honoured to be his step-mum."

Tom and Charlotte both tend to keep their relationship, and children, out of the spotlight, having appeared only on a handful of occasions at events together.
