A Lamborghini costing hundreds of thousands of pounds has been wrecked after crashing off a motorway.
The vehicle, which appears to be a Lamborghini Aventador, was pictured having suffered serious damage following the incident near the M40 in Warwickshire in the early hours.
Ultimately, the bright orange sports car found itself in a field having come off the motorway, reports Coventry Live.
It is unclear just how badly damaged the motor is, but it is likely that fixing it will put a dent in the wallet of the owner.
According to Auto Trader, a new Lamborghini Aventador can cost anything from £260,000 to £325,000.
Warwickshire Police’s Operational Patrol Unit have used the stricken sports car as a warning to other motorists, with driving conditions tricky in the poor weather.
On Twitter, OPU Warwickshire Tweeted: "Reduce your speed in poor weather or else you could find yourself in a field instead of the motorway, like this Lamborghini on the M40 this morning!"
