Learn how to play slingos with Sun Bingo

WANT to play a new bingo format?

Sun Bingo has the answer– slingo.

In the spirit of trying new things, you may like to try a slight variation to bingo, its cool cousin, slingo.

This take on the traditional game is a great alternative to the traditional slot machines or bingo games.

It’s actually a combination of the two, hence the name. What you might like about slingo is that it combines the fast-paced excitement of slot machines with the traditional, much-loved format of bingo.

There are plenty of slingo games to choose from including Sun Bingo's very own version as well as Rainbow Riches and Extreme.

How to play

Most of the slingo games follow the same structure: you select your stake and press ‘Start Game’.

What follows is a whirlwind of excitement as the game autoplays, churning through your spins and marking off any numbers on the grid that match those on your reel (at a speed that may actually rival that of bingo hall veterans).

‘Wilds’ or ‘Jokers’ (or represented by a different symbol in select games) allow you to manually pick the number in that column which you want to mark off.

‘Super Wilds’ or ‘Super Jokers’ (or represented by a different symbol in select games) let you pick a number from anywhere on the grid to mark off.

There are free spin symbols which do what they say on the tin, give you an extra go at spinning the wheel.

However, beware the block symbols as they stop you matching any numbers in that column for that spin.

Select games may have extra bonuses that can be won while you play. If you match the numbers across a whole row, column or diagonal, you get slingos!

With each slingo, you climb the pay ladder (or ‘pay table’) and as you climb higher up the ladder, so do your winnings.

Top tips

Slingos mean prizes! So, your goal should always be to create as many slingos as possible.

With that in mind, if you get a Wild or Super Wild, always use it to try and complete a row, column or diagonal.

Central numbers can be good options if you’re not yet close to getting a slingo, as they can help you get diagonal slingos.

Why slingos?

Not only does this hybrid bring together the best parts of slot machines and bingo, you might also find it more fun to play.

With multiple spins, it can feel like your stake is going further and you have more chances to win.

The wide variety of slingo games also mean that it’s unlikely that you’ll get bored anytime soon.

A holiday may not be on the cards for you this year but Lucky Larry’s got you covered.

Lobstermania offers glimpses of tropical sand and blues seas as Larry’s star tokens dazzle your eyes.

Slingo Advance will roller skate you back to the 1980s, with galactic backdrops and funky neon colours.

Sun Bingo really is a community that welcomes bingo lovers old and new. Slingo is a great way to get stuck in.

If it proves to be your game of choice, that’s the new hobby sorted. As for your final resolution, to have a bit more fun? Well, that’s a given with Sun Bingo.
