Just showing up can snag a coronavirus vaccination. Lisa Vanderpump’s husband, Ken Todd, knows.
The 75-year-old restaurateur lucked out getting his vaccine at the same time as health care workers when a Los Angeles area clinic had 150 vials for appointment breakers that were only hours away from spoiling, TMZ reported.
Todd’s doctor told him to head down to the Men’s Health Clinic in Inglewood — both because of his age and his two underlying health conditions.
Todd waited in line with Vanderpump by his side. The “Vanderpump Rules” star, 60, didn’t get a shot.
The clinic is one of many that are facing the choice of trashing unused vials or ignoring LA County’s priority list. Right now, the county is in Phase 1A, inoculating all medical workers, medical professionals, EMTs and paramedics, and nursing home residents. Todd is in Phase 1B.
County health officials are working to clarify the distribution process but will take nonpunitive action against clinics that don’t follow the phases, TMZ reported.
