The tool, called LockdownChecker allows Britons to search for any part of the UK and check whether special measures are in place for the virus. The guide will let you know what you can and cannot do.
After searching a postcode the tool will let you know a number of criteria. They are:
Are non-essential shops open?
Can two households meet indoors?
Can two households meet outdoors?
Are pubs and restaurants open?
Are gyms and fitness centres open?
Local lockdowns have been set in place in various areas in the UK.
That includes Leicester and Luton.
There is also an outbreak in Greater Manchester, East Lancashire, Preston, and West Yorkshire.
The government is acting to control the spread of the virus.
It said: “If you live in these parts of Greater Manchester, East Lancashire, Preston and West Yorkshire, you should follow these rules when meeting people who you do not live with.
“Separate guidance advises on the similar rules imposed in Leicester.
“Changes to the law in Preston apply from midnight on Friday 7 August.”
Social contact is limited and gyms have been closed in these areas.
An Express.co.uk poll found Britons would not support another lockdown.
The poll asked: “Would you support second mass lockdown in bid to stop second wave?”
Fifty-eight percent said they would not support a second nationwide lockdown.
In contrast, 41 percent voted insisting they would support a second lockdown while just one percent were not sure.
