After a year off, Love Island is finally gearing up to return to screens at the end of next month and we can't wait.

The hit ITV2 dating show was not able to air last summer due to the coronavirus outbreak, so we're well overdue our fix of Island drama.

The show, hosted by Laura Whitmore, is due to return bigger and better than ever with a brand new cast of singles looking for love with signings rumoured to include Holly Ramsay, daughter of Gordon Ramsay.

For now, however, here's a peek at some of the couples from the first three series' who are still going strong all these years later…

Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen – series 2, 2016

Alex Bowen, 29, and Olivia Buckland, 27, met on Love Island in the summer of 2016, and have been head over heels for each other ever since.

And then in the December of that year, Alex popped the question over a romantic dinner in New York.

Sharing a snap online, Olivia wrote: "I have no words for how happy I am. My fiancé my everything @ab_bowen this was magical. So magical."

The pair had a dreamy Essex wedding which OK! magazine was invited along to. Olivia revealed at the time: "When we saw each other we just burst into tears. I was really trying to hold it together and compose myself because I didn’t want to fully lose it."

Overjoyed by their big day, Olivia also exclaimed: “The wedding was overwhelmingly perfect. It feels like it didn’t happen because it was so perfect."

Since, Olivia and Alex have become the proud parents to two adorable pooches, Winnie and Reggie and have moved into a stunning "dream home."

"This house has been here for 17 years. When I was younger, my mum used to drive me past it and we’d say, 'Imagine living in that house'. She came with us to the viewing, and we were all a bit gobsmacked," Olivia recalled.

She added: "I remember walking into the bedroom and crying. When I cry I know that it means something. It felt like fate. We fell in love with it, and six months later we were in the house."

However, the couple won't be trying for children any time soon after they said that the coronavirus lockdowns put them firmly off the idea.

"‘We were thinking about it, but then things just kind of changed, especially with lockdown still happening and the world being so sort of unknown at the moment," Olivia said in an Instagram Q&A.

Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey – series 2, 2016

Nathan Massey, 28, and Cara De La Hoyde, 30, won the dating show back in 2016, but had a rocky relationship upon leaving.

After moving in together just months after the show, they ended up calling things off in April 2017.

Just a month later, former circus performer Cara announced her first pregnancy exclusively to OK! magazine, explaining how ex-Nathan would be with her every step of the way.

But soon after son Feddie-George arrived in December 2017, the couple reunited and are now stronger than ever.

In fact, Cara and Nathan tied the knot in 2019 and OK! were exclusively invited along to capture the magic. The adorable couple said “I do” in front of 120 of their closest friends and family at Preston Court Barn in Canterbury.

The sweet pair recently announced in 2019 they were expecting a second child too, and revealed they would be having a girl.

Speaking exclusively to new magazine, the couple revealed how they found out the gender of their baby after admitting that they were hoping to have a sister for Freddie-George.

“We went away with MagicBreaks on the Disney cruise and we asked if Minnie and Mickey Mouse would be able to tell us if we’re having a boy or a girl,” Nathan explained.

“The next thing we know Minnie, Mickey and Pluto were all there – and either Minnie or Mickey had to step forward, depending on if we were having a boy or a girl. We closed our eyes and when we opened them Minnie was standing there in front of us! Cara screamed the place down."

In July 2020, Cara gave birth to a daughter named Delilah.

Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt – series 3, 2017

After coming second on Love Island, ITV2 stars Jamie Jewitt and Camilla Thurlow largely kept out of the limelight, choosing to keep their relationship under wraps.

After finishing up the third series, the humanitarian couple took on charity projects instead.

While fans worried for the couple after they were spotted bickering, they continued to prove they were stronger than ever since and excitedly announced they were expecting their first baby together.

The couple, who share a beautiful abode, posted an adorable video to their social media channels to announce the news, which also showed their close family finding out too.

In October 2020, the pair welcomed their first child, a daughter named Nell Sophia.

Jamie and Camilla are also parents to two adorable dogs, Audrey and Gus.

In February of this year, they announced they were engaged following Jamie's proposal which involved putting baby Nell in a baby grow that said 'Will Mummy marry Daddy?'.

Jess Shears and Dom Lever – series 3, 2017

Jessica Shears, 27, and Dominic Lever, 30, hit it off immediately on the show, despite their relationship not lasting long within the villa, with Jess being eliminated long before her beau.

However, since Dom’s exit from the villa, the couple has been inseparable and embarked on a whirlwind romance that saw them moving in together straight away and getting engaged just three months later.

Jess and Dom became the second Love Island couple to tie the knot behind Olivia and Alex, and shared their special day with OK! magazine.

Opening up on proving their critics wrong, the pair discussed their relationship, with Dom revealing: "People said we wouldn't last but now we're husband and wife. We're proof that when you meet the right person, there's no need to hang around.”

Jess added: “I always thought it was a cliche when people said: ‘When you meet the one, you know’, but it's true. I knew we'd be together forever from very early on."

Jess and Dom also share an adorable baby boy together and whilst they have never publicly confirmed their son's name, we can reveal he is simply adorable!

The pair, who welcomed their son in September 2019, often post snaps of him on their social media channels.
