Meghan Markle showed she’s finally perfected a curtsy fit for a princess as she met the King of Morocco.
The Duchess and Duke of Sussex ended their three day tour of the North African country this week by spending around an hour with King Mohammed VI at his private residence, surrounded by his immediate family.
Video footage captures the moment they arrived at the residence on Monday night, full of smiles.
And as they greeted each other, pregnant Meghan gave the perfect curtsy.
A royal expert says it seems she has been practising, after the Duchess was criticised for her curtsy to the Queen at the 2017 Christmas service.
Speaking to the Daily Mail , former royal butler Grant Harrold said: "It is clear that the Duchess of Sussex has perfected her curtsy over the last few years.
"We first saw her curtsy to HM the Queen at Sandringham Church when she attended the Christmas service in 2017 with the rest of the royal family, which was not as perfect as it now is."
Mr Harrold predicted Meghan would have been practising the curtsy with the help from advisers, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton.
Royal experts had criticised the Duchess for her curtsy attempt outside Sandringham’s St. Mary Magdalene church in 2017.
But one year on at the Christmas 2018 service, her technique appeared much more polished.
Meghan wowed this week in a custom designer gown as she met Morocco’s King in her final tour engagement with Prince Harry .
The Duchess made her third outfit change of the day into a stunning £3,222 Carolina Herrera dress.
Meghan, who is around seven months pregnant, wore the flowing blue gown from Herrera’s AW19 collection at the monarch’s residence in Rabat.
With a crew neck, flared short sleeves and a fitted waistline, the dress is by a designer favoured by Queen Letizia of Spain.
The King granted an audience to Harry and Meghan in his private home, a 1950s Arabic-style country mansion set in a lush garden of ferns and bamboo trees in the capital Rabat.
