DEAR DEIDRE: WHEN she is drunk, my partner gets in the sofa-bed with me.
But the rest of the time there is no connection between us really. We are just Mum and Dad to our kids.

We’ve been together for five years, are in our twenties and have girls aged four and two.
Six months ago we split up and she says we are not going to get back together.
But I haven’t moved out, as we haven’t the money to spare and I’ve nowhere to go.
For the past two weeks she’s had a few drinks in the evening then slept with me on the sofa.
But in the morning, it is like nothing happened.
Is it just the alcohol or does she wants to get back together?
DEIDRE SAYS: You share a home so it must be worth trying to work out what has gone wrong.
But you can’t do this alone.
Go for a walk together, say you love her and ask what changes she needs from you.
For your daughters’ sake, do both give it your best.
