Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis decorate own Christmas tree

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are given their very own Christmas tree to decorate over the festive season.

The third in line to the throne, eight, along with his sister Charlotte, six, and younger brother Louis, three, each have a tree in their bedrooms at the sprawling £4.7million Berkshire home of their grandparents, Carole and Michael Middleton.

The mother of the Duchess of Cambridge, Carole, 66, who is the founder of Party Pieces, previously revealed the Christmas tree tradition that she has at Bucklebury Manor for her adorable grandchildren.

Carole, who is also a proud grandmother to her 38 year old daughter Pippa's children Grace, eight months and Arthur, three years, told The Telegraph in 2018 that she likes to have as many trees as possible.

The doting grandmother revealed that she especially likes to have a tree in the grandchildren’s rooms 'so that they can decorate it themselves.'

Carole missed out on Christmas with the Cambridges in 2020 due to coronavirus restrictions but it didn’t stop the family finding fun.

She shared: “I normally let my grandchildren help me decorate the tree. This year I’ll ask them by video call to decide which decoration should go where. It may need to be tastefully rearranged later…!”

It comes after royal expert Katie Nicholl told OK! that Kate Middleton, 39, and Prince William, 39, are said to be thinking more carefully about their present buying this year and are edging away from spending their money on anything 'extravagant'.

She told us: "George enjoys his iPad at school, both he and Charlotte are quite tech-savvy and, like most children, there probably are technical gadgets and such like on their wish list.

"I'm sure they're not going to want for anything, but when it comes to technology and screens, they are careful not to spoil them with extravagant gifting."

Katie continued: "If it is something that happens to be a computer game or something like that then they are cautious of screen time so it could be a more practical gift."

Meanwhile the royal expert then shared some insight into what George and Charlotte's father William has previously bought his kids for Christmas.

"One year William gave Kate a pair of binoculars so that's the sort of gift they appreciate," Katie said.

"It's something that can be used outdoors or something that will last forever and isn't just a passing phase or fad."
