Snow and ice weather warning issued by Met Office for the UK tomorrow

A snow and ice warning has been issued for the UK for today and tomorrow.

Two yellow weather warnings are now in place after the Met Office updated its forecast.

One warning for snow and ice, covers the majority of the west of the UK, including Wales and Northern Ireland.

The Met Office says: "Wintry showers and icy stretches likely to bring some travel disruption."

It is in place from 8pm today until 10am on Wednesday.

A second weather warning for ice covers the entire south of England and stretches as far north as Stoke-on-Trent.

It is in place between midnight and 10am on Wednesday.

Speaking to Mirror Online Met Office meteorologist Bonnie Diamond said there is a small chance of snow over higher ground in the south on Thursday morning.
