Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner is cast as Princess Charlotte alongside a hilariously catty Prince George in new comedy cartoon series The Prince
- The Prince, from 20th Century Fox, is coming to the HBO Max streaming service
- Based on Family Guy writer Gary Janetti’s satirical version of seven-year-old Prince George, who features heavily on his Instagram page
- British actress Sophie Turner has been cast as five-year-old Princess Charlotte
Sophie Turner has been cast as Princess Charlotte in Gary Janetti’s satirical new cartoon comedy series The Prince.
The Northampton-born Game of Thrones star, 24, will voice the five-year-old in the HBO Max animated show which puts the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s children centre-stage.
Family Guy producer Janetti, whose wildly popular Prince George memes casting the little boy as a sassy and snarky commentator on all things royal and celebrity have won him a huge Instagram following, is behind the new series and announced Sophie had joined the A-list cast.
Janetti, who voices seven-year-old George, shared an amusing clip at the weekend in which the cartoon version of the future king told how he and his siblings are having a Halloween party.

With his usual dose of attitude and precociousness, cartoon George told how he, Charlotte and Prince Louis are dressing up as the three little pigs – before his sister knocks on the door and enters dressed as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.
Incredulous, George exclaims: ‘What the hell Charlotte, what are you wearing?’ to which she replies: ‘I changed my mind, pigs are kind of gross.’
‘I know they’re gross, but it’s cute when it’s the three of us,’ the future king pleads, before young Louis, two, enters dressed as a vampire.
Exasperated, George moans: ‘Oh come on, it’s a group costume guys, it doesn’t work unless we all do it.’

Janetti’s clip went down a storm on Instagram, with fans including actress Sarah Michelle Gellar admitting they ‘can’t wait’ for the show to launch.

The show does not have an air date or a UK broadcaster as yet.
In a previous clip released by Janetti, the young prince was delightfully catty as he addressed the masses about coronavirus from comfort of his royal throne.

Lucy Punch will play Kate Middleton, Tom Hollander both Prince Philip and Prince Charles, Frances De La Tour Queen Elizabeth, and Iwan Rheon Prince William.

Bright idea: Gary Janetti, the Family Guy producer whose wildly popular Prince George memes have won him a huge Instagram following, is behind the new show
According to Deadline, in each episode George ‘will find his path in life as a young prince in modern times — from the 775 rooms of Buckingham Palace to his family’s sea of corgis to primary school with commoners’.
‘We’re so excited to bring the world Gary’s created on Instagram over to HBO Max, where our viewers can discover what his Instagram fans already know — that George can be hilarious, shocking, and surprisingly sweet,’ Sarah Aubrey, head of original content, HBO Max, said in a statement.
‘We can’t wait to see what Gary does with a bigger canvas to paint on than just a 1:1 square.’
Janetti added: ‘I’m thrilled to be working at HBO Max and bringing them yet another series about a family ruthlessly fighting for the throne.’
