Tesco customers have been complaining on social media about the lack of delivery slots in the near future. With lockdown restrictions still in play, Brits are keen to avoid visiting supermarkets as much as possible. What time does Tesco release delivery slots?

Loyal Tesco customers have been struggling to find a delivery slot, taking to social media to complain.

One customer tweeted: “All the Tesco delivery slots are booked up until the 30th, mostly by people who can’t be bothered to go in person.”

Another wrote: “There are zero shopping delivery slots with Tesco or Sainsburys for weeks. I thought everyone was skint in January?!”

Some Twitter users have suggested slots are fully booked for the next three weeks, with no slots available until early February.

How to book a slot

When you are ordering online, to book a slot you simply need to click the ‘Book a delivery slot’ button.

This will bring up a list of the available delivery and Click and Collect slots, and you can select the available delivery slot that suits you.

If you’re desperate for a slot and can’t make it to your local Tesco store, you’re probably wondering when the slots are released.

What time does Tesco release delivery slots?

Express.co.uk contacted Tesco to find out when Tesco slots are released, but the information was not available.

The spokesperson revealed Tesco has “more than doubled” its online capacity since the start of the pandemic.

They said: “We now have around 1.5 million slots each week.”

If you’re trying to get a delivery slot, you should book a few weeks in advance to ensure you get the exact slot you need.

The Tesco spokesperson confirmed: “Customers can book delivery slots up to three weeks in advance.

“Delivery Saver customers can book four weeks ahead.”

Vulnerable customers are able to book priority slots to ensure they get their shopping, as they are unable to visit the supermarket.

The spokesperson explained: “We continue to ringfence priority slots for vulnerable customers and now have over 786,000 on our list.

“Customers can call our Customer Engagement Centre on 0800 917 7359 to be added to our vulnerable list.

“While we can’t guarantee a slot, we will do our best to prioritise these vulnerable customers.

“We continue to encourage those who are able to safely come to stores to do so, to free up online delivery slots for those who are self-isolating or most in need.”
