In a thrilling flurry of Black Friday excitement, it has been announced that a limited number of items from the internationally renowned fashion house Gucci will be available to buy at a discounted rate… at ASDA.

The event, which coincides with today's release of Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci, will see a treasure hunt of the designer goods across the supermarket Goliath's stores.

But not all shops will be involved, with only 48 of their 632 branches set to be taking part.

It is thought the items, which are second hand, will be going from as little as £12.

But be quick, because it is thought that only 30 Gucci items will be available across the 48 stores involved, meaning that some participating stores may not have any items at all.

The only way to find out for certain is to get down to a store and find out for yourself.

To spice things up, it is thought that the Asda employees will be hiding the items in the store, so you might have to look beyond the obvious rails if you want to be the lucky winner.

Steve Lynam of PreLoved Kilo, Asda's sustainability partner and the company orchestrating the introduction of second hand clothes into the supermarket chain, said: "Our partnership with George at Asda is one that we are extremely proud of, so we’re delighted to be able to offer their customers the chance to pick up something they have always dreamed of owning in their local supermarket."

George at Asda's Lauren Mallins said: "Whether you are a lover of vintage or just want to make more sustainable choices, our hand-picked PreLoved pieces are always a treasure trove of gems and now Gucci is adding to our customers’ reasons to shop with us."

The treasure hunt comes after PreLoved Kilo and Asda began working together to stock second hand items across branches in an effort to take vintage shopping mainstream.

The collaboration offers customers the opportunity to save money on clothes while cutting down on their carbon footprint and push back against fast fashion.
