A Wetherspoons will remain closed "until further notice" after a confirmed norovirus outbreak left customers with severe sickness and diarrhoea.
Guests at the Sir Richard Owen in the centre of Lancaster complained of the vile symptoms over the last week.
Now Lancashire Live reports the pub is shut so it can be fully sanitised.
A notice has been put up in the window of the venue advising that the closure will remain in place 'until further notice'.
Laurence Johnson, 21, visited the establishment over the weekend.
The man, of Lancaster, said: "So I went to 'spoons with two other mates on Sunday evening, we had a couple of drinks and a bit of food. Monday evening I threw up twice and had diarrhoea.

"One of the lads I went with has since been throwing up. Two other mates had been spoons over the weekend and were complaining of being very ill too.
"I seem to have recovered a bit faster than my other mates but I'm still a bit off.
"Someone has told me that it is to do with the water system so would seem ironic that they have closed since the weekend for work to be done."
A spokesman for the pub giant confirmed the closure.
What is norovirus?
Norovirus is a stomach bug that causes vomiting and diarrhoea, with other possible symptoms including nausea, fever, a headache, and aching arms and legs, the NHS says.
Also known as the "winter vomiting bug", it can be very unpleasant, but it usually goes away in about two days.
The symptoms usually start within one to two days of being infected.
It can be spread very easily from close contact with someone with norovirus, touching infected surfaces or objects and then touching your mouth, or eating food that has been prepared or handled by someone with the illness.
The best way to stop it from spreading is washing your hands frequently with soap and water.

He said the virus spread after a staff member fell ill. It is hoped to reopen on Friday after a full refurbishment.
But Lancaster City Council, which has no overall political control, said it had no involvement in the closure.
"The council isn't involved in investigating any concerns raised regarding the Sir Richard Owen public house in Lancaster," a spokesman for the council.
