Jaffa Cakes are undoubtedly one of the nation's favourite tea-time treats.
But now the creators of the snacks have revealed we've all been eating them wrong.
McVities confirmed the chocolate side is actually the bottom of the Jaffa Cakes… Who knew?
A social media user named David claims to have asked the team to confirm the mind-blowing revelation.
And the reply was: "Hi David, our Jaffa Cakes go through a reservoir of chocolate, so the chocolate is the bottom, thanks Jaffa Cake."
The man responded: "WTF."
And don't worry David, you're not the only one who's apparently shocked by the news.
One wrote on Facebook : "Makes no sense at all!
"The chocolate will melt if you think it's the bottom! Stop upsetting my Jaffa mojo."
Another commented: "OMG just turned my world upside down."
Meanwhile, a third pointed out how the chocolate side tends to be on the top of the photos.

But some Jaffa Cakes fans weren't so surprised by the revelation.
One said: "Am I the only one who always thought the chocolate was the bottom anyway?"
A second claimed: "Who cares? Just shove 'em in your gob."
