Tammy Abraham's first half double should have been enough for the Blues, but they capitulated after half time to draw 2-2.

  • CHELSEA are reportedly set to offload Kenedy, Baba Rahman and Lucas Piazon before this evening’s European transfer window deadline.

The Athletic claims Frank Lampard has no room in his squad for the three misfits despite already getting rid of big earners including Tiemeoue Bakayoko, Davide Zappacosta and Danny Drinkwater.

Kenedy is now ready to move to Spain with Getafe, who are playing Europa League football after finishing fifth in La Liga last season.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian left-back Rahman, 25, hasn’t played for Chelsea since 2016 and has since taken in loan spells at Schalke and Reims.

He is also heading to Spain with Real Mallorca, while Brazilian winger Lucas Piazon, 25, is heading to Portugal with Rio Ave.

  • ROSS BARKLEY has hailed Mason Mount as England’s next Frank Lampard.

Mount has made a big impression at Stamford Bridge this season after being given his chance by new boss Lampard, and he joined Barkley in the England squad for their Euro 2020 double-header.

Barkley said: “I’m really pleased for Mason because he’s a brilliant player. You’ve seen at the start of the season how good he is and what he did when he was out on loan.

“He’s hungry to improve, hungry to score and help the team in any way he can, whether he’s out on the left, a number ten, or in a midfield three. He’s very versatile.

“He is similar to a young Frank Lampard. You can see the development he had last year on loan, and he’s brought it back here and started the season really well.

“The way he arrives in the box and gets shots away early is pretty similar to Lamps.”

  • BLUES winger Kenedy is currently undergoing a medical at Getafe ahead of a season-long long switch.

It is understood that the Brazilian – who has just one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge – will sign a new deal before leaving.

While Getafe will have the option to buy Kenedy inserted in their deal.

  • TAMMY ABRAHAM is staying late after training to consolidate his place as Chelsea's main striker ahead of rival Olivier Giroud.

The frontman, 21, has bagged four goals in his last two games – two against Norwich and then two against Sheffield United.

And with the added weight of expectation the No9 jersey at Stamford Bridge carries, Abraham is working hard behind the scenes to ensure he repays Frank Lampard's trust in him.

Abraham – who has enjoyed loan spells at Bristol City, Swansea and Aston Villa over recent seasons – knows he must make this season count, with Chelsea still behind a transfer ban.

That is why he, as well as Mason Mount, has stayed behind at Cobham to work with Lampard on his long-range shooting and hold-up play to make him the best striker he can be.
