  • MAURICIO POCHETTINO has called upon Tottenham’s wantaway stars to pull together to get their teetering title bid back on track.

    The Spurs boss held a one-hour summit with his squad at their Hotspur Way training HQ yesterday to clear the air after a summer of speculation and average start to the Prem season.

    And he urged his unsettled players who failed to secure a move away from the club in the transfer window – such as Christian Eriksen, Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld – to put their personal situations behind them and focus on doing their best for the North Londoners.

    All three joined their Tottenham team-mates on their return to training yesterday following the international break.

    It was the first time Pochettino has had all of his squad together since the remaining European transfer windows closed on September 2.

  • BERND LENO has joined in on the constant battle for footballing supremacy in London by claiming Arsenal is 'THE club' in the city.

    Leno, 27, joined Arsenal from Bayer Leverkusen last summer in a £22.5million deal as the long-term replacement for the now-retired Petr Cech.

    The German is now settled as Arsenal's No 1 and is happy to fan the flames of the Gunners' rivalry with Tottenham and Chelsea.

    Leno told German outlet Sport Bild: “You can't compare, of course Arsenal is a world club, THE club here in London.

    “Not Chelsea, not Tottenham – Arsenal is the club here with fans around the world.”

  • SERGE AURIER admitted he wanted to leave Tottenham this summer.

    According to HITC, the 26-year-old said: “I'd simply decided to leave [this summer].

    “In the end, I wasn't able to leave.

    “It proves the club trust me on a lot of points, and we'll see.

    “We'll see how the season pans out, but for now, I'm here, the transfer window is shut and we need to concrete on the campaign ahead.”

  • RYAN SESSEGNON could feature in the Tottenham squad for the first time since his £25million summer switch from Fulham.

    The former England Under-21 star has finally started full training at Spurs after recovering from the hamstring problem that has sidelined him since his arrival from the Cottagers.

    And he could be on the bench for Mauricio Pochettino’s team in Saturday’s Premier League clash at home to Crystal Palace.

    The club admitted he is being “assessed for selection”.

    Record buy Tanguy Ndombele is also back in contention after missing the last two matches with a thigh injury.

    The France midfielder, who joined from Lyon in a deal worth up to £65m, was also forced to withdraw from Les Bleus squad.
