MORNING, CHELSEA FANS
Hakim Ziyech's arrival from Ajaz has taken the spotlight off Chelsea's Premier League cracker at home to Manchester United on Monday – at least for a few hours.
And even more dramatically, SunSport can reveal how Ajax's £36.7million Moroccan marvel is likely to be just the first part of a huge summer spree by Blues' boss Frank Lampard.
England attacker Jadon Sancho, Birmingham's 16-year-old sensation Jude Bellingham and Lyon frontman Moussa Dembele are among the names who could wand-er in after the Wizard of Amsterdam.
But Willian, Pedro and Olivier Giroud are top of the tips for the old guard to exit Stamford Bridge – making way for mega buys in what Lampard hopes will be a genuine bid for the title next season
Ziyech's amazing stats certainly compare well to Sancho's – a player valued at three times as much.
The 26-year-old has bagged 22 goals in 47 matches, whereas Sancho has 24 from 53.
Ziyech has also amassed 25 assists over that one and a half campaigns, – just two fewer than ex-Manchester City kid Sancho, 19.
Lampard, though, has more pressing problems at the other end of the pitch, where keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has been dropped.
And the talk now is of a summer approach for Sheffield United loan star Dean Henderson, who is also said to be a target for PSG.
Former England Under-21 hero Henderson is reportedly unwilling to return to parent club Manchester United in the summer – unless as their No1 – suddenly making a switch to big rivals Chelsea now more feasible than far-fetched.
Meanwhile, Sky Italia's Fabrizio Romano has suggested Chelsea have opened talks about re-signing Ivory Coast wideman Jeremie Boga from Sassuolo.
The Blues hold a buy-back clause for the 23-year-old, valued at £12.7m.
For now, however, as Lampard faces the press on Friday, his focus is on tackling United.
Victory would lift fourth-placed Chlsea nine points above Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men – not bad for Lamps' first term as a Prem chief.
ZIY IS NOT THE LIMIT
CHELSEA have already bagged Hakim Ziyech… and Jadon Sancho, Jude Bellingham and Moussa Dembele are firmly on their radar.
Frank Lampard is planning a summer rebuild in attack with Willian, Pedro and Olivier Giroud set to be offloaded.
Ziyech posted a message on Instagram promising more to come following his return from a calf injury on Wednesday.
The Moroccan international, who joins for an initial £33.3m plus add-ons — as SunSport told you on Wednesday — said: “Happy to be fit again so I can enjoy these last months on the pitch, where I belong.
“Very happy with my next step but first I have some unfinished business.”
Boss Lampard hopes to build a young, exciting squadcapable of locking horns with Liverpool and Manchester City for the title, meaning Pedro, 32, and Willian, 31, will be off.
One of the reasons Ziyech caught the eye was his ability to create AND score, with six goals and 12 assists in the Eredivisie already this season.
Sancho, 19, also fits the bill, highlighted by his 12 goals and 13 assists in the Bundesliga this term.
But Chelsea know they face a major battle to sign the Borussia Dortmund whizkid, especially with Manchester United willing to offer him a mega wage packet.
Dortmund are looking at £120m for the England forward, knowing Manchester City will get 15 per cent of any profit they make on their £8m Etihad signing.
With Giroud, 33, set to leave this summer, Blues have targeted French striker Dembele, 23, with Lyon likely to do business at around £45m.
Chelsea are also in a £50m battle with United for Birmingham’s 16-year-old starlet Bellingham.
Chelsea are reportedly set to hold transfer talks with Sassuolo over signing former player Jeremie Boga.
The winger joined the Italian side in 2018 but it is understood the Blues have first refusal on bringing him back to England.
According to reporter Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are to discuss re-signing the 23-year-old in a meeting scheduled this week.
The Serie A club are demanding as little as £15million for the forward, who has scored seven times in 23 appearances this season.
Sassuolo’s president Giovanni Carnevali recently confirmed Chelsea do have a buy-back option on the attacker.
He said: “Chelsea can redeem Boga in June. We have a great relationship with the club and we already met them before Christmas – also for other business.
“They can take him back but we can also re-sign him, everything is open.”
