Boss Unai Emery has been struggling with a crippling injury list in recent weeks which has contributed to them stuttering in their bid for a top-four finish.
But the Arsenal boss has seen his options bolstered this week as half a dozen of his regular first team players all resumed full training.
Mesut Ozil and Hector Bellerin lead the names of the players who have a chance of being available for this weekend's clash with West Ham.
Ozil has been unavailable since he was substituted at half-time in the Boxing Day draw at Brighton because of a knee injury.
But the German is back training with the squad and hopes to convince Emery he should start at the London Stadium on Saturday.
Bellerin missed the entire festive programme having sustained a calf strain in the defeat at Southampton on December 16.
But he is also pushing for an immediate return from the off as the pressure on Emery's defensive options starts to ease.
That is because four other sidelined defenders have all made the step back into full training with Bellerin.
Laurent Koscielny, Shkodran Mustafi, Nacho Monreal and Dinos Mavropanos were the other four who were also able to link back up with the squad.
Koscielny suffered a back spasm in the warm-up before the Blackpool FA Cup win, while Mustafi missed that game with a hamstring problem.
Monreal is another who missed the festive period having strained his hamstring just before Christmas.
Greek defender Mavropanos has missed the whole season so far following groin surgery but is finally back training fully.
The giant 21-year-old has played just three times for the Gunners since joining them from Olympiakos a year ago.
