Arsenal send scouts to watch Feyenoord's 17-year-old wonderkid Orkun Kokcu and left impressed with goal and assist

SunSport reported earlier this month that a whole host of top-clubs were pining for his signature.

But it was the Gunners who took the next step to watch the youngster in action – and they were not let down by what they saw.

The 17-year-old ace was introduced to the game shortly before half-time and put in a stunning display – notching up a goal and an assist in little over a half of football.

The forward is already considered one of the hottest properties in the game – with Man City, Chelsea, Tottenham and PSG all reportedly tracking the starlet.

But the North London scouts weren't alone in watching him – with scouts from PSV and Borussia Dortmund also in attendance to track the Dutch ace.

Kokcu was a sensation for Feyenoord's Under-19 side last season – bagging 17 goals with a staggering 34 assists.

The teenager operates as an attacking midfielder and his rapid progress has seen him training with the Dutch giant's first-team squad.

Kokcu, born in Haarelem to Turkish parents and has already played for Holland Under-19's and senior boss Ronald Koeman is closely following his progress.

But Feyernoord boss and Netherlands legend Giovanni van Bronchorst will be hoping he can keep him in his ranks to help him develop further before his inevitable big move happens.
