The Five Stripes beat Portland Timbers 2-0 in the final to clinch the US title in just their second season of existence.
But the club celebrated their historic win in interesting fashion – taking the cup to Magic City, a strip club in Atlanta.
In a video shared on social media, a stripper can be seen twerking just centimetres above the trophy.
Following their unofficial title party, Atlanta United did hold a more family-friendly affair yesterday.
The club paraded the MLS trophy around the city – as Atlanta celebrated its first championship since the Braves won the baseball World Series in 1995.
During the afternoon, rapper – and Atlanta native – Archie Eversole said: "We did it! We broke the curse!"
Earlier this year, the We Ready singer – talking to United's Behind The Stripes – added: "Everything about Atlanta is me and everything in my music is Atlanta."
Meanwhile, United president Darren Eales revelled in the occasion, saying: "We've won a championship in only our second season.
"That's pretty incredible."
