Greetings, Bachelor Nation. We don’t have to hold our breath that much longer when it comes to Peter and Hannah Brown’s fledgling relationship this week – but as the episode unfolds, it’s clear this is merely the beginning of another dramatic “Bachelor” season.
Peter and Hannah start the episode dissecting their breakup and potential future. (Remember that he asked her about joining the season.) “You’re the one that said ‘no’ to me,” Peter says. “I’ve never said ‘no’ to you.”
Peter wants someone to want him as bad as he wants them (which sounds familiar to us). He wonders if what Hannah is missing is the what if and not actually him. Yes, Peter, express your healthy feelings! They embrace and it seems like they’re about to kiss – but he says he can’t do it.And with that, Hannah Brown appears to no longer be a factor.
While not quite as dramatic as it could’vebeen, the “Hannah Brown” of it all does leave the women wondering if Peter is really ready for this. And what’s more dramatic than that when you’re trying to fall in love?
In case you missed the premiere: Is Hannah Brown actually returning to the mansion?
Peter cancels group date but still gives out a rose amid ‘champagne crisis’
Peter explains to the women that he and Hannah had a necessary chat, and that he’s sorry but doesn’t think he can stay on the group date. He wants to reconvene later, once he’s had the chance to gather himself.
“That’s not just gone away,” he says of his investment in Hannah. “She hasn’t gone away,” Natasha slings back at him.
Later, Natasha tells the camera, “I am not going to compete with your ex.” She lays into Peter once they get one-on-one time. He knows she’s disappointed and frustrated, but assures her Hannah is in the past.
Peter next connects with Sydney, who opens up to him about growing up in a Southern town and how the odds were set against her, since her father is black and Dominican and her mother is white. She faced bullying and racial profiling. They kiss in a sweet moment, and he ultimately gives her the rose.

Who goes home on Episode 2 of ‘The Bachelor’ after the cocktail party?
The real drama of the season (or whatever you want to call it) begins tonight, and it all revolves around Kelsey.

Kelsey brought a bottle of champagne she’s had for over a year and has been saving for a special moment. She wants to share it with Peter. (Is it even still good, we wonder?)
Kelsey lashes out at Mykenna after she steals Peter away, since Kelsey was ready with a spot to share the bubbly with him. But things take an even darker turn: Peter and Hannah Ann find the champagne and pop it! It was the pop heard ’round the world, as Kelsey and a group of other women hear it, too. Happy New Year?
Next comes the regular “she said, she said”: Kelsey thinks Hannah Ann knew about the champagne, but Hannah says she didn’t. (Tammy explained to her what was going on.)
Peter takes Kelsey to a different bottle (yes, there were two) and she accidentally knocks it over. Peter opens it and they decide to drink from the bottle. Kelsey takes a sip and champagne erupts in her face. Whoops!
Kelsey confronts Hannah Ann again, saying: “I’m real, you’re calculated.” Hannah Ann tries to apologize.
“I don’t want to be involved in this champagne crisis anymore,” Tammy says, expressing our feelings on the matter.
Apart from all that, Peter and Madison’s chemistry remains intact. He says that she “fit in with the family very well” during last week’s one-on-one date, and gives her a picture from his parents’ vows-renewal ceremony to prove it. It’s of Peter, Madison, his parents and his brother.
Now, to the rose ceremony. Remember that Madison, Sydney and Kelley already have roses.
Mykenna, Victoria P., Natasha, Jasmine, Sarah, Lexi, Hannah Ann, Alexa, Tammy, Alayah, Deandra, Victoria F., Shiann, Kiarra, Savannah and Kelsey all receive roses, meaning Lauren, Payton and Courtney are sent packing.

Hannah Ann, Victoria F. strut on fashion show group date
Alexa, Mykenna, Natasha, Deandra, Lexi, Victoria F., Kelsey and Hannah Ann go on the next group date, which takes place with trendy retailer Revolve. The women are to compete in a fashion show judged by original “Queer Eye” fab five member Carson Kressley, supermodel Janice Dickinson and Revolve’s chief brand officer, Raissa Gerona. They’ll be judged on style, technique and personality.
The women pick out items from the store to model daytime and evening wear; the final two will go head-to-head. The winner will receive everything in the Revolve closet. “Boyfriends are temporary,” Kressley reminds us. “Cashmere is forever.” We couldn’t agree more.
Victoria F. is initially overwhelmed with the challenge and feels the other women outshine her. She kills it anyway. For evening wear, she dons a black trench coat and reveals lingerie underneath, confident as ever down the runway.
Hannah Ann takes the bigger risk in the daytime look, opting for a white dress and veil (which she tossed Peter’s way).
They walk the final challenge wearing identical sparkly dresses, and Hannah Ann takes the win. Victoria F. starts feeling done with everything.
Peter later tells Victoria F. how impressed he was with her, but she tells him she’s not sure she’s cut out for the show. He says she’s trying her best, and that he sees that and doesn’t want her to go. Peter gives her the rose, saying she’s someone he is happy is there and that he can see a future that makes him hopeful. We’re hopeful, too!
What we aren’t hopeful about is the Hannah Ann-Kelsey drama slowing down. Hannah Ann tells Peter she felt bullied by Kelsey.
Peter asks Kelsey about it, and Kelsey says she’s been bullied before, and this isn’t it. She reiterates Hannah Ann knew about the champagne, and Peter doesn’t know which one to believe.
Hannah Ann spoke for us earlier when she said she’ll never look at champagne the same again.
