Boston Celtics general manager and president of basketball operations Danny Ainge suffered a mild heart attack in Milwaukee on Tuesday, the team announced in a news release.
“He received immediate medical attention and is expected to make a full recovery. He will return to Boston shortly,” the team said.
The Celtics were in Milwaukee for Games 1 and 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, and Game 2 was Tuesday in Milwaukee.
Game 3 is Friday in Boston with the series tied at 1-1.
Ainge, 60, also suffered a heart attack on April 16, 2009.
The longtime Celtics executive played six-plus seasons with the Celtics, winning NBA championships in 1984 and 1986.
