CRISTIANO RONALDO reportedly sat alone in the dressing-room for 20 minutes after Manchester United’s recent thrashing at Brighton.
The Portuguese star, 37, returned to Old Trafford last summer hoping to reignite the fallen giants and lead them to success.
Despite finishing as the Premier League’s third highest goalscorer with 18 goals, the legend and his side have struggled in what has been a turgid campaign.
That came to an end on Sunday as they limped to a sixth-place finish despite an awful 1-0 defeat at Crystal Palace.
However, a fresh report has now claimed that 4-0 loss at Brighton on May 7 left Ronaldo stunned.
The MEN claims that as United staff trudged through the Amex Stadium tunnel, a "personable Brighton staff member wished them a safe journey home".
