Cristiano Ronaldo 'wants to LEAVE Man Utd with Bayern keen', Frenkie de Jong 'improved offer', Antony transfer news | The Sun

CRISTIANO RONALDO has reportedly dropped a bombshell by deciding he wants to leave Manchester United.

Reports from Spain and Portugal suggest the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is unimpressed with the club's transfer business and unsure of his role under Erik ten Hag.

Meanwhile United are heavily linked with a sensational swoop for Ajax ace Antony who is reportedly determined to join.

The Brazilian winger shared a close relationship with Ten Hag during their time together at Ajax.

And the Red Devils are set to launch an improved offer for Frenkie de Jong, with a fee of £65m plus add-ons said to be enough to force Barcelona's hand.

    Ronaldo 'tracked by Bayern'

Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked with a sensational move to Bayern Munich.

Bayern are reportedly eyeing Ronaldo as a replacement for the outgoing Robert Lewandowski, according to AS.

The German giants want Ronaldo to spearhead an exciting new attack with Sadio Mane.

And they could be in luck as Ronaldo wants to quit Man United as he's starting to doubt the Red Devils' ability to compete for the top prizes next season, the report adds.

Liverpool have strengthened their attack with Darwin Nunez, while Man City brought in Erling Haaland.

Conversely, United have been quiet in the transfer market which has fuelled Ronaldo's skepticism over the club's silverware push next season.

    Man United want De Vrij

Man United are interested in signing Inter Milan defender Stefan de Vrij.

That's according to Corriere della Serra, who claim the Red Devils want to land De Vrij to shore up their defence next season.

Reports claim Inter could let him leave for the right price – said to be between £43-52m.

    Barcelona 'eye Edinson Cavani'

Edinson Cavani is being lined up for a shock move to Barcelona.

Barca are reportedly tracking the ex-Man United striker who left the club this summer.

The Catalan giants' main target is Robert Lewandowski, but they'll turn to Cavani if landing the Poland international is to difficult, according to Fichajes.

    Fernandes in F-bomb row

Footage has emerged of Bruno Fernandes shouting at Manchester United team-mates before being called a f***er".

The Portuguese spotted Fred and Alex Telles filming with Brazilian sports agency O Clube Football as they arrived at training.

The latter was filming a feature called "A Day in the Life", when Fernandes trolled him.

United's midfield talisman shouted: "Stop being such ballers!"

He then added: "You are here to play football, not film it!"

After an exchange of swear words, Fernandes then yelled: "Film my d**k."

Fred hit back: "Chill out you f***er."

    It's a family affair

Man United have reportedly hired the brother of Everton defender Michael Keane to be the club's new transfer chief.

Solicitor Tom Keane is set to replace Matt Judge, who has quit his role as director of transfer negotiations at Old Trafford.

In a summer of change Judge followed Chief Scout Jim Lawlor and Head of Global Scouting Marcel Bout in walking out the door.

Keane will join in a consultancy role, according to The Daily Mail, but will handle transfer and contract negotiations after taking over some of Judge's commitments.

He is also brother to Wigan striker Will, who was formerly on the books at Old Trafford alongside Toffees defender Michael.

Keane is poised to play a key role in getting players through the door at Manchester United for new boss Erik ten Hag.

    Morning, United fans
Erik ten Hag's summer spree could be limited to £120million – curbing him to only about three of the five signings he wants.
And with Chelsea now reportedly joining the hunt for Antony, Ajax have more chance of reaching their £69million valuation of the winger.

But United could offload up to five defenders – as new boss Ten Hag rates central defence as a priority area for strengthening.

Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Lee Grant, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani are already outgoing.

Midfielder Pogba will have a medical with old club Juventus early next month ahead of signing a three-year deal.

It's thought representatives of the French World Cup winner met officials of the Italian giants yesterday.

The most incredible speculation to emerge last night was talk from Portugal that Cristiano Ronaldo is considering his future.

It's suggested the strike legend, 37, has ‘told his inner circle’ he’s worried about the Red Devils’ slow progress in the transfer window so far.

Finally, main target Frenkie de Jong's mooted move from Barcelona has reached a temporary stalemate.

Elanga laps it up on hols in Mykonos

United frontman Anthony Elanga is making the most of his last few days off by enjoying a holiday in Mykonos with his stunning girlfriend.

Elanga and partner China Navana, both 20, are also joined on the Greek island by Rangers ace Alex Lowry and his Wag Jess.

The romantic couples jetted off last week and are clearly loving the sunshine, relaxing by the pool, exploring the island and even splashing around on jet skis.

Elanga took to Instagram on Thursday to give his 980,000 followers a sneak peek into his trip.

The photos included selfies with China, tucking into some local grub, the beautiful sunsets and even one of Elanga shadow boxing underwater.

The Red Devils ace only finished his season on June 12 after featuring in three Nations League matches for Sweden, scoring in the first against Norway.

    Good to Go back

Man United full-back Diogo Dalot is relishing the club’s ensuing pre-season tour.

He told United’s media: “It’s great bringing fans to stadiums, back to football,” he said. “That’s what football is about.

“To go travelling around the world, and see the love and support [our fans] have been showing, will be great.

“It will be a very good feeling to have them back in pre-season.”

Pogba tipped to seal Juve return in July

Paul Pogba will have a medical with Juventus early next month after the details of his return to Turin were thrashed out.

And the former Manchester United midfielder, 29, looks set to sign a three-year deal, with the option of  a further 12 months.

A key meeting between officials from the Italian club and one of Pogba’s representatives, Rafaela Pimenta, took place in Milan on Thursday.

Everything is now in place for his return to Serie A giants Juve as a free agent — six years after he left to rejoin United in what was then a world-record £89million deal.

Reports in Italy suggest he will earn a basic salary of around £150,000 a week, although that will be boosted by a sizeable signing-on fee.

However, that figure will cause some raised eyebrows among the Old Trafford hierarchy.

In his Amazon Prime  documentary The Pogmentary, he described a new £300,000-a-week contract offer from Red Devils chiefs as “nothing”.

United announced earlier this month that he would be leaving  this summer when his  contract expired. Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid were also keen on luring the French World Cup winner.

    Zidane speaks on United rejection

Zinedine Zidane has lifted the lid on why he turned down the chance to take charge of Manchester United last year.

Speaking to L’Equipe, Zidane said: “When I’m told: ‘Do you want to go to Manchester?’ I understand English but I don’t fully master it.

“I know there are coaches who go to clubs without speaking the language. But I work differently.

“To win, many elements come into play. It is a global context. I know what I need to win.

“So, of course you can’t win but I know it takes at least this, this and this. And I want to put everything on my side to optimise the victory.”

Chelsea could rival Manchester United for Antony

That's the claim from 90min as Old Trafford boss Erik ten Hag eyes at least four of his ex-Ajax stars.

It's understood the Dutch giants value the Brazil winger, 22, at around £69million.

And with Romelu Lukaku poised to rejoin Inter Milan on loan, his Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is looking for new attackers.

90min suggest the Blues have met Antony's agents in the UK.

Portuguese outlet claims Ron is eyeing Utd exit

Portuguese reports claim Cristiano Ronaldo wants out of Manchester United unless new boss Erik ten Hag makes signings soon.

The incredible suggestion from Record is that the Portugal legend has 'told his inner circle'he's worried about the Red Devils' slow progress in the transfer window so far.

Of course, all sorts of sensational reports about Ron, 37, hit the 'headlines' around Europe.

And despite this evening's claim, the smart money is on the ex-Real Madrid and Juventus hero staying at Old Trafford for the second year of his contract.

Red Devils in queue for Endrick

Manchester United are monitoring Palmeiras 15-year-old Endrick, reports claim.

But PSG, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also said to checking out the Brazilian.

The striker can't sign a pro deal until he turns 16 on July 21 but it's understood he's agreed to put pen to paper with Palmeiras.

He has, though, hinted he loves Real.

    Vieira not Keane on Roy

Patrick Vieira jokingly refused to touch a Roy Keane Manchester United shirt – and then admitted: “I was much better than him”.

He told BT Sport: “From the first game I knew straight away that he would be a fight every single game. I loved the way he was on the field. Massive respect.

“He was a leader, the one who was driving the team and the players to compete at that level, challenging the players.

“I admire him as a captain and I knew of course that will be one of the battles to try to win on the pitch.

“[Was I better?] Much better. I would say much better, yes.”

    Barca 'launch Lewandowski offer'

Barcelona have reportedly made the first move for Robert Lewandowski, who has also been linked with Premier League giants.

The Polish strike legend has angered Bayern by publicly revealing hisdesire to leave this summer.

But it's thought the bid is below the German champs' £35million valuation of the 33-year-old.

Red Devils could offload 5 defenders

Manchester United are reportedly looking to get rid of FIVE defenders this summer as they prepare to rebuild their back line.

The Red Devils are welcoming in a new era under manager Erik ten Hag after a dreadful 2021/22 campaign.

They conceded 57 Premier League goals in a thoroughly disappointing season – their worst record for 43 years.

As a result, Ten Hag is hoping to lead a mass overhaul at the heart of their defence.

According to Manchester Evening News, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Axel Tuanzebe and Brandon Williams are all on borrowed time.

That would add to the host of players' wages the club got rid of after their contracts expired – Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic and Edinson Cavani to name just a few.

The sales would enable them to dip into the transfer market and bolster their defence – which already includes the likes of captain Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof, Diogo Dalot, Luke Shaw and Alex Telles.

United have already been linked with a number of centre-backs in the summer window. These include Ajax duo Jurrien Timber and Lisandro Martinez – who Ten Hag is hoping to reunite with at Old Trafford.

Villarreal's Pau Torres has also been muted as a possible target.

'Utd cap Ten Hag budget at £120m'

Erik ten Hag's summer transfer budget could be capped at £120million.

That's the claim from the Mirror – despite Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Lee Grant, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani departing United.

New Old Trafford boss Ten Hag reportedly wants around five incomers – but might settle for three.

Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong seems to top that list of targets, ahead of Ajax winger Antony – with a centre-back likely to be another priority.

    United set to axe five

Erik ten Hag will reportedly boot out five players to make room for new signings at Man Utd.

The Red Devils have already bid farewell to several free agents, including Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic.

But the Mirror claims Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Brandon Williams, Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe and Eric Bailly will also be axed this summer.

That will free up funds and wages to spend on new players, with Ajax duo Antony and Lisandro Martinez wanted.

Fan’s view – stop haggling, Erik

I’m a Man Utd fan and I’m frustrated and worried.

We’ve made NO transfers so far this summer despite Erik ten Hag turning up to job early.

And at this rate we’ll fall even further behind our rivals.

    Henderson set for Nottingham Forest

Man Utd goalie Dean Henderson has agreed terms to join Nottingham Forest on loan.

The Athletic claims the England goalie will play for the newly-promoted Premier League side next term.

And Forest will cover the entirety of his £110,000-a-week Old Trafford wages.

Newcastle had been interested in Henderson, but they have opted to make a permanent move for relegated Burnley stopper Nick Pope instead.

He told the club’s media after penning his new deal: “I’m pleased to continue wearing the RB Leipzig shirt.

“After our great achievement in winning the DFB-Pokal, it remained clear that my story here isn’t over yet – we want more!

“I was really impressed with the club’s efforts to keep me, so a big thanks goes to those responsible for the trust in me and especially to Oliver Mintzlaff, with whom I was always in close contact.

“RB Leipzig have made a name for themselves on the international stage in recent years and have shown time and again that we can compete for titles. We want to build on that going forward and go one step further.”

    Ronaldo buys Portugal's priciest flat

Cristiano Ronaldo bought the most expensive flat ever sold in Portugal after paying £6million for the property that includes a gym and indoor swimming pool.

The dazzling penthouse is located next to the Eduardo VII Park, close to the neighbourhood where Ronaldo spent some of his humble beginnings.

Local media report the Man Utd star got the flat in the Portuguese capital in July in the summer of 2018 but news of its purchase only surfaced a year later.

According to PrimeTimeZone, it is the most expensive apartment ever sold in Portugal.

The national skipper is said to have beaten off bids from two other millionaires as he splashed the cash on the 3,100 square feet flat in the Avenida de Liberdade area of the city.

Inside includes a spa, a swimming pool, a gym, as well as three large bedrooms.
