CSU Rams basketball heading to Las Vegas to play 2020 MGM Resorts Main Event – The Denver Post

Colorado State men’s basketball team will get a shot at some marquee non-conference wins as part of the MGM Resorts Main Event in Las Vegas this fall.

On Wednesday, Coach Niko Medved’s Rams announced plans to play in the four-team tournament with Louisville, San Francisco and Arkansas on Nov. 20-22.

“We are thrilled to have the chance to play in a first-class tournament like MGM Resorts Main Event,” said Medved in a news release. “It’s a great opportunity for our program and we look forward to competing against some of the premier programs in college basketball.”

The Rams are coming off a 20-12 season that saw them win 11 of their final 16 games. Arkansas also won 20 games in 2019-20, while Louisville was 24-7 in its second year under Chris Mack when play was brought to a halt by COVID-19.

Additional information about the main event can be found on the MGM Resorts Main Event site.
