    Five minutes to go

Remember, no Verstappen after his gearbox problem after only seven laps.

It is Russell now in P1, Hamilton in P2…surely this is not the Mercedes revival?

Sainz in P1, Norris in P2 and Russell in P3

Ricciardo in P4, Leclerc in P5, Perez in P6.

    Perez and Ricciardo have offs

Both the Red Bull man and McLaren's Ricciardo have moments of running off track and into the sand.

Both keep out of trouble and prevent any damage to their cars.

    Alonso is on a flyer

The Alpine man goes quickest by over a second. That is some lap form the Spaniard. He's still got it.

    Session has restarted

Verstappen's Red Bull has been recovered and the race track is live again.

We are back underway in Zandvoort. A little over 40 minutes to go.

Verstappen tops the timesheets from Ricciardo and Norris.

Red flag – session has been stopped

Drama here as Verstappen is getting out of his car. Not the start to the home race he was hoping for.

    But it is short-lived – he's stoppped

The championship leader has come to a stop on track. He's complaining of a gearbox problem.

He only took a new one in the last race. That is some concern for the team and the racer.
