The Brazil international received treatment after the incident but quickly got up and returned to action, leaving fans baffled.
Jesus celebrated his opener 10 minutes into the game after he tapped in Leroy Sane's perfect cross, sent between Wolves' defenders scrambled in the penalty box.
But he was less enthusiastic some 15 minutes later when the Brazilian dangerously clattered his head off the post, after running into it at full speed while trying to convert another brilliant pass from the German.
The 21-year-old squirmed in pain, waiting for City medical staff to come on the pitch.
But, having received treatment, he got up and quickly returned to action – leaving fans absolutely shocked.
One, @brageasker, wrote on Twitter: "For a second there I thought Gabriel Jesus would die."
While @dubsoulrebel added: "Gabriel Jesus allowed back on the pitch after clattering his head off the post. Mad stuff."
And another, @CharlesBurley_, wrote: "How on earth Gabriel Jesus has just got back up and carried on after that I do not know…"
Not only he carried on, but Jesus doubled City's lead before half-time, scoring from the penalty spot after a foul on Raheem Sterling.
That's not the first time Jesus went all-in, taking some bashing to score a goal for City.
In the 9-0 thumping of League One side Burton in the Carabao Cup semi-finals, he sported a lump on his cheek caused by a flying header for his second goal.
But Jesus was rewarded with four goals to his tally in that game, proving that going through the pain barrier is sometimes worth the struggle.
