Ronda Rousey officially has her WrestleMania 35 opponent

Becky Lynch wasted no time in making the match fans want to see.

One night after winning the women’s Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant at No. 28 Chase Field in Phoenix on Sunday, The Man challenged Ronda Rousey to a championship match at WrestleMania 35 at MetLife Stadium.

After Rousey successfully defended her Raw women’s title against Bayley, Lynch walked out on “Monday Night Raw” and told the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion she was using her Rumble victory to face her on April 7.

“Last time I came to your show, I dropped you right there,” Lynch said pointing to the middle of the ring. “And even after that you never came looking for me to prove that you’re the baddest. So, Ronnie, I’ve come looking for you. To prove you’re not.”

Rousey had been booed loudly by the crowd while trying to cut a promo to set up the open challenge and the area filled with chants of “Becky!” The boos continued as got into Lynch’s face. Rousey reminded Lynch that the former SmackDown Live women’s champion was on the WrestleMania kickoff show last year while she was stealing the show in a mixed tag match.

“How long have you been The Man Becky, because I’ve been a household name for a decade,” said Rousey, who is undefeated in singles matches.

The match has been built too since Lynch was unable to face Rousey at Survivor Series in November because of real injuries she suffer from a Nia Jax punch has the women of “SmackDown Live” invaded Raw. Rousey would later interfere and cost Lynch her SmackDown championship at the TLC pay-per-view in December. Many expect Rousey-Lynch to be the first women’s match to ever main event WrestleMania. There is still a chance Charlotte Flair, Lynch’ rival and a lose to Rousey by disqualification in Survivor Series,” is added to the match in the coming months.

“At WrestleMania I’m going to break your mystique. I am going to take your title and I’m going to kick your ass in front of the whole world,” Lynch said.

The showed closed with Seth Rollins, the men’s Royal Rumble winner, needing to choose between Universal champion Brock Lesnar and WWE champion Daniel Bryan for his WrestleMania match. Lesnar made the choice for him with six F5 in the middle of ring. WWE made the match official as the show went off the air.
