Simone Biles on DAZN: How to watch, live stream The Superstars of Gymnastics

It’s not much of a stretch to say that Simone Biles may be the most dominant athlete in their respective sport in the last few years. Beginning in 2016 at the Summer Olympics in Rio, Biles set the American record for most gold medals in women’s gymnastics at a single Games with four. If the five total medals she won in Rio weren’t big enough, she also became the first female gymnast to be Team USA’s flag bearer in the closing ceremonies.

Biles took all of 2017 off to rest — although she did compete on Dancing with the Stars, in which she finished fourth — before returning to the National Team for the 2018 National Championships. Biles finished first in every event.

At the 2018 World Champioships, just days after passing a kidney stone in a Qatar emergency room, Biles helped the U.S. team to a first-place finish in record margin and also won an individual gold in the all-around competition and vault, giving her 20 career medals at world championships, a record among for female gymnasts.

Now, Biles will be showcasing her talents with some of the world’s most elite gymnasts in The Superstars of Gymnastics at the 02 in London this Saturday.

What is The Superstars of Gymnastics?

The Superstars of Gymnastics is a new showcase event of the very best talents in gymnastics the world has to offer. Headlined by Biles and Britain’s two-time Olympic gold medalist Max Whitlock, who will serve as all-star judges with Amy Tickler and Laurent Landi following their own individual performances, the event will feature the likes of triple Commonwealth Games gold medallist Ellie Black of Canada and German trio Fabian Hambüchen, a gold medallist on horizontal bars at Rio 2016, double Olympic silver medallist Marcel Nguyen and four-time World Cup medallist Elisabeth Seitz, among others.

Athletes have the freedom to devise and perform their own routines. The four all-star judges will score out of 10 based on flair, creative choreography, execution and engagement. Each apparatus will have its own leaderboard with a winner per piece to be determined by the highest combined score. Gymnasts can double their score for a maximum of 80 points on one apparatus by hitting the Golden Buzzer before performing their routine.

The event consists of two sessions, with Biles and Whitlock performing in each.
