UFC 269 weigh-in results: Watch Dustin Poirier and Charles Oliveira make weight for Las Vegas lightweight title fight

DUSTIN POIRIER and Charles Oliveira both successfully made weight for their lightweight title fight this afternoon.

The fan favourites will vie for the 155lb strap early on Sunday morning in the main event of UFC 269 in Las Vegas.

Both men spent the small hours of the morning cutting weight for their eagerly-anticipated showdown.

And neither man had no issue making the championship limit of 155lbs.

Defending champ Oliveira hit the scale first, weighing in at 155lbs.

Poirier followed shortly thereafter at tipped the scales at 154.5lbs.

Poirier and Oliveira, both 32, went face-to-face for the first time early this morning during the first and final pre-fight press conference at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The pair engaged in a tense staredown after shaking hands, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.

Pride of Louisiana Poirier will bid to claim the lightweight title at the second time of asking.

And he's determined to solidify himself as an all-time great by ending Oliveira's brief reign atop of the division.

He said: "If I can become the world champion Saturday night, I’ve done everything I set out to do.

“I’ve set my family up. We’re in a good position financially. I have other businesses. I have to check that box. That’s forever.
