Watch AC Milan star Theo Hernandez score stunning individual goal that fans are comparing to club legend George Weah

THEO HERNANDEZ ran the length of the pitch to score a wonder goal for AC Milan that was reminiscent of a famous strike by club legend George Weah 26 years ago.

Left-back Hernandez slalomed past FIVE hapless Atalanta players before slotting a low shot past keeper Juan Musso from the edge of the box on Sunday.

The strike sealed a 2-0 Serie A win at the San Siro on Sunday.

And it had Rossoneri fans purring at the quality shown by the in-demand 24-year-old.

With the hosts 1-0 up through Rafael Leao's 56th-minute strike and the game still in the balance, the five-cap France star began his charge from the edge of his own box.

He then put on the afterburners to charge through the centre-circle to bear down on a three-man defence.

And after skipping past weak challengers from two defenders, the star had the composure to slot a low, left-footed effort underneath Argentina keeper Musso.

It reminded older Milan fans of a similar marauding effort from the legendary Weah in 1996.

The powerful Liberian striker – now 55 – had the football world talking with a solo wonder goal against Hellas Verona.

Weah picked up the ball from the right-back position following a Verona corner, before charging forward and riding an attempt to sandwich him in the centre circle.
