Wednesday's horse racing NAP: Your best bet for today's racing from Callum Jamieson

None more so than a competitive handicap hurdle with the likes of Dan Skelton and Nicky Henderson dipping their toe in.

NOT THAT FUISSE (Taunton, 2.55) steps back into what connections would have believed were calmer waters.

But with the likes of Style De Garde and Totterdown in opposition there would have been plenty of easier ways to earn £8000.

But I'm napping this chap for a reason and he gets almost a stone in weight from the above mentioned.

He's run creditably the last twice, both at Cheltenham. Firstly in the Greatwood where admittedly he was slightly out his depth – despite a solid sixth – followed by a strong finishing second to Festival fancy Al Dancer.

He was never comfortable that day and looked slightly out paced on the home bend. The step up in trip looks a good idea from Dan Skelton.

The forecast good ground will also play into his hands more so than his rivals, especially Totterdown who's best form is on Heavy.

Previous form behind the likes of Seddon makes me think this novice is nicely treated at the moment and could take this before stepping up in grade.

Elsewhere on Wednesday…

My other strong fancy for the day comes in the shape of NUMERO UNO (Kempton, 5.15).

Martyn Meade has only sent a select team of horses out in recent weeks but they're going well when they do get to the track. Numero Uno was fancied on handicap debut last time but never got racing behind an impressiver winner. There's more left in this horse from this lowly mark.
