A Place In The Sun guest grovels to host after snubbing every single property in 'disappointing' U-turn

A PLACE In The Sun host Jasmine Harman received an apology from a guest property hunter following a "disappointing" series of events.

The Channel 4 presenter was venturing around Fuerteventura as she showed married couple Debbie and Steve around Costa de Antigua for their forever sunny home.

Debbie and Steve told the host how they had a budget of £70,000 and were hopeful of finding a property that had two bedrooms, a pool and a terrace.

However, things took a turn when Jasmine confessed, she was "disappointed" that one of the properties failed to live up to the couple's expectations.

The love birds from Wigan recalled that the reason they wanted a place in Costa de Antigua, Fuerteventura, is because they have been going there on holiday for around 10 years.

Jasmine began by showing the couple a property close by to a pub they adore in the area.

Much to the delight of the property expert, the pair instantly loved the first home.

Jasmine confessed: “I was hoping that location might go down well."

She then proceeded to show them five properties, the one close to their favourite pub only had one bedroom and was on the market for £70,500.

The second was another one-bedroom apartment priced at just over £62,500, which Debbie loved.

Property three was a bungalow featuring one-bedroom, a balcony and a communal pool at £80,000 – £10,000 over their budget.

Number four came in at £60,500 for a first-floor apartment with one-bedroom and a communal pool.

However, Jasmine was left stunned when the couple confessed, they were not keen.

After Jasmine asked what they thought of it, Steve replied: "I wasn’t feeling it."

Shocked Jasmine responded: "But this one, I mean, it solves the problems you’ve had with the two that you love. The bungalow was too expensive possibly. This is cheaper.

“And the one with the spiral staircase the outside space was a bit small for you wasn’t it, Debbie? This is bigger."

Steve admitted: "I just wasn’t getting that come and buy me feel."

Debbie added: "Sorry!"

Jasmine replied: "I’m a little disappointed because I thought this might be a sort of happy medium for you, but at the same time, it has got to be right for the two of you."

Property number five came in at £72,000 and featured two double bedrooms, two communal pools and even a sea front view from its terrace.

The couple told Jasmine they would need some more time to make a decision.

A Place in the Sun airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 4pm.
