Adam Peaty’s mum slams ‘fixed’ strictly Come Dancing after surprising exit

Strictly Come Dancing have come under fire once again as the hit BBC One dance show now faces a new row with Adam Peaty's mother after his shocking exit this weekend.

Gold medal winner Adam and his professional partner Katya Jones performed the fast-paced jive to the song Little Bitty Pretty One by Frankie Lymon and The Teenagers on Saturday night, but it appeared the judges were less than impressed.

After they finished their upbeat dance, the judges struggled to find the positives in their performance and scored the pair a gut-wrenching 27 while their peers continued to climb up the leaderboard.

The dynamic duo had one last chance to show off their dance moves when they found themselves in the dance-off on Sunday against Tilly Ramsay who danced the Tango to Kings and Queens by Ava Max.

But it wasn’t meant to be as the Olympic swimmer was sent home by the judging panel after seven weeks in the highly competitive celebrity dance contest.

And doting mum, Caroline, wasted no time to share her opinion of results as she took to Twitter on Sunday to share her disappointment online.

She wrote: “Such an amazing partnership and Katya you have taught my baby boy to dance, thank you.

“Total fix and I'm not buying the public vote,” she added.

And fans soon flooded the comments section with their thoughts including the 32-year-old choreographer who insisted her partner was “a dancer inside” in her gushing post online.

She penned: “He is definitely a dancer inside and I've seen it with my eyes! What a privilege it’s been for me.”

Another added: “No way did he deserve to go out this week,” while a third chimed in with: “It’s always a shame when a couple leave before their time.”

Katya and Adam put on an emotional display during Sunday night’s performance as the Russian dancer broke down in tears as she thanked the athlete for all his effort throughout the show.

The Olympian told the viewers at home: “I have absolutely loved every single challenge. I've never had a challenge like this. As an Olympian for 16 years, I've pushed my body to places I never thought they’d be pushed.

“I’ve so much respect for dancers across the world. It's just a great, great experience.”

A teary Katya added: “I was not ready to be in this position today. What was really nice after the dance floor is I looked at him and he had tears in his eyes.”
