Adult Material fans have taken to Twitter to praise Hayley Squires' character Jolene for making a passionate speech about working in the sex industry.
On Monday evening, viewers watched as single mum Jolene was hauled in front of her daughter Phoebe's headmistress at her expensive private school.
Phoebe found herself suspended after making a sexually explicit video of another pupil public.
In a cutting comment, the headmistress told Jolene that she believed her X-rated job in the porn industry was having a detrimental effect on her daughter.
The Head Mistress said: "There are may be things at home that seem normal but in the outside word there are different boundaries."
After Phoebe left the room, an enraged Jolene hit back: "Excuse me?
"OK, we are talking about my job are we?
"I have always said to Phoebe you want me to stop I will stop.. she knows that. 18 is not a child. I was bringing Phoebe by myself when I was 18."
She continued: "This is my reality.
"I work in the only industry in the world where women get paid more than men.
"I run my own business and I still get home in time to cook my kids dinner.
"That is actually what you can't tolerate, isn't it?
"That a working-class mum who left a s*** school with three GCSE's is getting paid three times your wage and does something she loves and something she is good at rather than being sat at behind a counter at a checkout."
The speech went down a storm with viewers who rushed to praise the scene online.
One viewer tweeted: "#AdultMaterial that speech is so much more powerful with the eye patch."
Another added: "Loving that they’re addressing sexism, not loving the double standards #adultmaterial."
A third continued:"#adultmaterial is brilliant."
A fourth chimed in: "The headmistress doesn't like what the mam is doing for money but seems happy to take her money.
"Seems about right.
"I wonder if the Head Mistress would be the same if she was a bloke? #AdultMaterial"
Adult Material continues next week at 10pm on Channel 4.
