AJ Odudu puts on an emotional display just days away from the Strictly Come Dancing final as she brands her time on the TV show “a dream come true.”
The 33-year-old has smashed her way through to the final after an impressive series on the BBC One dance competition with her first-time professional dancer Kai Widdrington.
But it hasn’t always been plain sailing for the dancing duo after the pair were faced with a difficult situation this week following the TV presenter’s horror injury.

Now in an exclusive interview with the Daily Star and other publications, AJ and her partner Kai have shared how the injury has impacted their training sessions just days away from the final.
Kai explained: “We rehearsed on Monday, we did the show dance. We got through it. Obviously, we still need to patch it up a little bit and connect everything, there’s a lot of lifts in there.
“But the other dances that were going to do we did and we put the music on and AJ knows them.”
As the dancing duo looked back over their Strictly Come Dancing journey, the TV presenter couldn’t help but get emotional as the show comes to an end in just a few days' time.
Despite her setbacks, AJ confessed how much she has loved the entire Strictly experience after she branded the TV show “a dream come true.”
She gushed: “I feel really emotional. There's been so many highlights throughout the series, obviously our first dance coming out with that jive, the American Smooth, the Argentine Tango.
“But genuinely just making it to the final now, and I know we’re not there yet, but everyone has voted us here and you [Kai] have just been so patient and so kind and so brilliant.
“And even now, when I'm hobbling around the place, he’s still being really positive and going, ‘We’re going to get you on that floor’.
“I’m just so grateful for the whole experience,” she added.
The Blackburn beauty has been an avid fan of the show for a number of years and confessed how coming onto the show and experience some of. the magic of the series backstage has been life changing.
And despite being a complete novice to ballroom dancing the star put her all into the dance competition and smashed we way through to the final three.
She added: “I think we can all sit at home and watch something on a Saturday night and go, ‘I’d love to be there, I'd love to be on that dance floor’ and say it for years and years as I genuinely have,
“And then when you get there and you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh it’s actually happening’. When dreams come true, it’s amazing but it’s also quite moving.
“You can’t believe it’s happening yourself and I feel like the whole experience has really been a dream.”
