Former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Janette Manrara has hinted her husband Aljaz could soon be leaving the BBC series. Speaking on Steph’s Packed Lunch earlier in the week, she teased presenting roles together were in the pipeline.
Host Steph McGovern asked: “Do you think, would Aljaz ever fancy presenting then could we see you two as the next Richard and Judy?”
“He’s quite a stand-up comedian Aljaz actually,” Janette replied.
“I think he’d love to do it someday, we just recently did a podcast because we kind of wanted to show ourselves as Aljaz and Janette, not Aljaz and Janette Strictly dancers.
“But as human beings and we absolutely loved it so watch this space, I would love to someday do something with him it would be amazing.”

Janette recently swapped the dance floor for the sofa as she became the new host of Strictly: It Takes Two alongside Rylan Clark.
Joining the show in 2013, Janette had an amazing run on the show and has been paired with some iconic celebrities.
In her second year in the show, she was partnered with EastEnders icon Jake Wood and made it all the way to the semi-final.
2015 saw Janette partner with Peter Andre and make it all the way to Week 10, earning a respectable 31 for their American Smooth, but an early exit during the Quickstep sealed their fate.
Her most successful year was in 2020 as she and popstar HRVY make it all the way to the final and missed out on winning the Glitterball Trophy to Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse.
Janette and Aljaz have been married since 2017, and both competed in the show against one another frequently.
She has previously spoken about struggling to watch Aljaz still compete in the BBC show as she misses being a professional.
She told Steph: “I definitely, definitely miss dancing, I think what I miss the most – and Anton and I have spoken about this loads – it’s just being around the professionals.

“The weeks where you choreograph all the big group numbers and record all the big group dances.
“And just kind of being on set with the crew and everybody – that part I really, really do miss.
“They don’t get rid of you, though, Steph, because I go there every Saturday anyway!” she joked.
Janette also spoke about not returning to the show in July before the new season aired and admitted it would feel “strange” to not be joining her fellow dancers.
“I’m not going to be there, and that’s what is really going to hit – that I won’t be dancing with them anymore.”
However, Janette isn’t too far from the Strictly action as her role on It Takes Two sees her chatting and catching up with the contestants about their journey on the show.
Janette replaced presenter Zoe Ball and exclaimed: “It’s a dream come true to become part of the It Takes Two team!
“Although it’s impossible to fill in the shoes of a legend like Zoe Ball, I hope to make her and all of the Strictly fans proud!”
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6.45pm on BBC One.
