1000lb Sisters star Amy Slaton confirmed she was a “single mom” following her reported split from now ex-husband Michael Halterman. Officially announcing the pair’s separation on her social media, Amy solidified reports that she was caring for the couple’s two young children Gage and Glenn.

TLC reality star Amy confirmed the news that she had separated from her husband of nearly four years, Michael.

According to reports, Michael is thought to have filed for divorce from the TLC star on March 13 in the state of Kentucky.

Amy had remained tight-lipped about the ordeal, until now.

Updating her social media profiles to reflect her new relationship status, Amy told TikTok followers: “I’m just a single mom of two wonderful boys.”

She is thought to be living with her sister Tammy after leaving her and Michael’s family home following the marriage breakdown.

Amy only recently confused 1000lb Sisters fans after sharing a loved-up throwback photograph with Michael, after their divorce date.

She shared a sweet snap, cuddled up to Michael, while they both held their kids at sister Tammy’s wedding.

The pair attended the ceremony in November last year and the entire ordeal has only just played out on 1000lb Sisters’ season four finale.

Fans flocked to the TikTok post’s comment section after becoming “confused” as to why Amy would post something with her reported ex-husband.

User @Kayleee88900 wrote: “If they were divorcing the last thing they’d do is upload a video and title ‘My little family’.

“So now I’m confused.”

Amy did in fact caption the post “Pic of [my] little family at tammy wedding,” (sic) and paired the clip with “I love you baby” by Surf Mesa.

In recent clips, Amy films her children playing as they continue their life without Michael.

It is not yet known what Amy and Michael’s parenting plans are, but fans are convinced the couple will continue “co-parenting”.

User @Mamato3 suggested: “Maybe they recently got back together, or maybe they’re getting along well now and are co-parenting.”

Account @so1stlady added: “Why is everyone saying you’re divorced? I’m so confused.”

Michael has made regular appearances on 1000lb Sisters and has been in a relationship with Amy for several years.

Their first child, Gage, was born in November 2020, just months after Amy’s gastric band surgery to reduce her weight.

Amy and Michael welcomed baby Glenn in July last year, and season four has revealed how the pregnancy has challenged her weight loss goals. has approached Amy’s representatives for comment.
