EastEnders spoilers have revealed that Ash Panesar will soon be returning to the iconic BBC soap.
The character, who is played by actress Gurlaine Kaur Garcha, first appeared on the show in August 2019 and has been involved in several key storylines since.
But in January she made a sudden exit after her sexuality was thrown into the spotlight.
Ash decided to leave Walford after becoming a victim of a hate crime and falling out with her mother, who refused to accept her bisexuality.
Her exit left fans shocked, but now it’s been confirmed that she will be making a comeback.
Here’s everything you need to know about Ash Panesar’s return to EastEnders.
When will Ash Panesar return to EastEnders?
Ash is set to return to Albert Square next week.
She will re-enter the show during Wednesday’s episode on June 1, which will air on BBC One at 7.30pm.
Next week is set to be a big week for EastEnders, as Prince Charles and Camilla are also expected to make a cameo as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
What will Ash Panesar’s comeback storyline be?
Ash’s departure saw her relationship with her mother Suki crumbling, but when she returns next week the pair will finally be making amends in an attempt to move forward.
But amid the happy reunion, it’ll be clear that Suki is hiding something, as viewers see her tense up while reading a letter.
When Dotty and her son Vinny arrive, Suki covers and they discuss Ash, but later Suki will turn to Eve Unwin to ask for legal advice.
Suki is shocked by her daughter's arrival back in Walford but the pair will sort out their differences in time for Ash’s 30th birthday.
But it’s still not been revealed what Suki is hiding or how it will impact her family.
Why did Ash Panesar leave EastEnders?
On the soap, Ash left Walford after an intense clash with her family about her sexuality. She felt that she didn’t belong anymore, so chose to pack her bags and leave.
But in reality, the actress who plays Ash, Gurlaine Kaur Garcha, took a break from the show to spend some time working for the humanitarian aid charity Khalsa Aid.
In March Gurlaine revealed that she was back on the EastEnders set to film for her upcoming return.
