Owain started reporting on BBC's The One Show in August 2020, and he made his big debut on BBC Breakfast in February 2021.

He shot to fame during the Covid lockdown when he produced a viral video of himself drumming the BBC News theme right after presenting a weather forecast.

He then completed a 24-hour 'drumathon' in November 2021 to raise money for Children In Need – where he spent 24 hours drumming continuously with a five-minute break every hour.

He ended up raising over £3million for charity – breaking the record as the most successful ever 24-hour challenge in Children In Need's history.
