BBC Breakfast presenter Jon Kay has bid farewell to his colleague who is leaving the cooperation after 30 years of service.
The 53-year-old, who hosts the morning show alongside Sally Nugent, took to social media to share a heart-warming tribute dedicated to his co-worker, Dominic Hirst.
Heading over to Twitter, Dominic first wrote: "Personal news – after 30 years I’ve decided to leave the BBC.

"Today is my final day. It’s been an amazing experience travelling the world with fantastic colleagues working on some of the biggest news stories. But time for new challenges."
Replying to his tweet, Jon penned: "A brilliant producer – and lovely chap – who has been behind some of the BBC’s most important reports over many years. Congrats on a great career, Dom."
Other colleagues who also worked alongside Dominic throughout their careers also shared their tributes online.
BBC News Health Editor Hugh Pym wrote: "Thanks for everything Dom – you have been a great colleague and will be much missed at BBC News. Hope to keep in touch – perhaps at a Maidenhead Utd game."
The news come after presenter Jon ditched his suit and headed to the Eurovision semi-final on May 9.
Wearing a sparkly cowboy hat and patterned shirt, Jon was all smiles as he gave his followers a glimpse of what was taking place behind the scenes at the M&S Bank Arena Liverpool.
Captioning he string of snaps, he wrote: "Wow. Absolutely brilliant afternoon at #Eurovision in #Liverpool.
"We saw the dress rehearsal for tonight’s semi-final. And it’s superb. Incredible production. Astonishing performances.
"Loads of fun – but also deeply moving at times. Sunshine and blue skies providing a Ukrainian flag of a backdrop. It’s going to be one helluva week.
"Sequinned cowboy hat not model's own!" He added.
After seeing his photos, fans headed straight to the comment section.
One person wrote: "I'm so jealous, looks like a fantastic time."
While another penned: "That sequinned hat is such a perfect fit… such a coincidence , you look good in whatever you wear. Enjoy your time in Liverpool."
