The Chase frontman Bradley Walsh welcomed teacher Natalie onto Tuesday’s episode of the ITV gameshow to go up against chaser Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha. However, Bradley was left stunned when Natalie explained she once starred in a pantomime with him back in 1995.
During the episode, the 61-year-old host asked Natalie what her interests were outside of working at a school.
“I like musical theatre, and things like that,” she explained.
An intrigued Bradley asked: “Did you go to a musical theatre school as well?”
She replied: “No I used to perform a little bit when I was younger – I was actually in a pantomime with yourself back in 1995 when I was eight.”
Bradley was in disbelief and asked if she was joking before he recalled performing in a pantomime in St Albans, north London, that year.
Natalie then reminded Bradley that the pantomime was Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
He quipped: “Oh yes, well it’s nice to see you again. Look at you.”
She couldn’t help but ask the host if he remembered singing Send in the Clowns for the pantomime.
“I was the little clown,” Natalie explained.
A shocked Bradley replied: “You weren’t sitting on the stage with me, were you?
“You did, you actually did. How lovely to see you. That’s brilliant.”
Later on in the episode, Bradley congratulated his “old acting and singing partner” Natalie for making it through to the next round of The Chase.

During the show, ITV viewers took to Twitter to express their shock at Natalie’s announcement to Bradley.
Adam said: “Heartwarming on the chase today, the woman telling Bradley she used to do acting and has been in something with him when she was eight, and he was quite taken aback, but pleased.”
Graham Longy said: “Bradley saw his life pass before him there as she said, ‘I was a young child in [a] panto with you in 1995’.”
Steve Notts said: “How could you not have recognised her? Less of the ghosting Brad.”
However, some viewers were not convinced that Bradley could remember performing with Natalie in the pantomime, with Richard Armstrong tweeting: “Bradley is just thinking of clouds and pretending he remembers her #TheChase.”
Lois Prior quipped: “Brad clearly doesn’t meet the contestants beforehand! #thechase“
James K added: “#TheChase Haha as if Bradley has a clue who this girl is.”
Sadly, Natalie and her teammates couldn’t do enough to head home with some cash as Paul caught the team in the Final Chase.
The Chase airs on ITV weekdays at 5pm.
