The Loose Women panel started the show on Friday with the debate on mixed-gender changing rooms – and as you can imagine, things got heated.
The discussion started over Marks and Spencer’s decision to offer mixed-gender changing rooms – so men and women can try clothes on where ever they feel comfortable.
Carol McGiffin is never one to hold back on what she thinks and today was no different – and while she doesn’t have an issue with mixed changing rooms, she does have an issue with mixed toilets.
She started: ‘With women’s changing rooms and men’s changing rooms if you wanted to exploit it or make something out of it you could, I don’t have a problem with unisex changing rooms or gender-based changing rooms.
‘I do have a problem with mixed toilets.
‘I don’t want to go into a toilet a man has used, they are disgusting. They wee all over the seat and all over the floor.’
Andrea McLean continued on the changing-room topic and added: ‘People need to feel comfortable and women also need to feel comfortable when they are getting undressed as they can feel vulnerable.
‘It would make it easier if they were all unisex.’
It’s not the first time that Carol has come under fire for saying what she thinks.
Last week the TV host was criticised for saying that she wouldn’t give her seat up on a train for a pregnant woman.
‘I would say no. It’s not my fault you’re pregnant, I mean you’re pregnant, not ill,’ she argued.
It’s safe to say her comments didn’t go down well with viewers then either.
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
