New CBeebies presenter George Webster was treated to a video message from Doctor Who’s Jodie Whittaker on today’s Good Morning Britain and his reaction is so pure.

George made history last week as the first host with Down’s Syndrome to front the channel, with the 20-year-old addition revealing he loves cooking and dancing.

Joining Susanna Reid and Alastair Campbell on today’s programme with his dad, George received a present from the lead character of his favourite show.

‘I have heard some very exciting news, somebody told me you’re a Doctor Who fan and I’m so chuffed,’ Jodie told George live from the TARDIS.

‘I think you are absolutely smashing CBeebies and I’m so chuffed for you. I think you’re doing a brilliant job. I just wanted to send you loads and loads of love and a high five. I hope one day that we get to meet, mate.’

George was over the moon by the personalised message and was seen mouthing ‘oh my God’ as he watched the clip before laughing in disbelief.

‘I love it!’ he beamed. ‘I loved that, thank you so much, love it.’

‘I’ve heard that she’s leaving soon as well,’ George added, referring to Jodie’s exit from the franchise alongside showrunner Chris Chibnall.

Viewers were loving George’s appearance on the programme and flooded him with praise on social media.

‘Just when everything is doom and gloom, along comes this ray of sunshine,’ wrote one. ‘He’s incredible, a charming young man, wishing him all the best.’

‘What an amazing young man,’ added another. ‘Well done to CBeebies too for letting this young man present your show. I am sure he will bring loads of joy, to loads of children in their homes. When he smiles, I’m sure the whole world will smile with him.’

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
